Rosalyn and Shea

This book set during the Depression has both Shea and Rosalyn facing great losses and the betrayal by Rosalyn's first love and best friend. Ms McCourtney uses these events to develop a story that shows the courage and determination of the two main characters when they have lost so much. Both Rosalyn and Shea face a testing of their faith before learning to trust God with their future.

I was really enjoying this book. I really liked the main characters and was really interested in all of the side characters stories as well. However, I got SO MAD at the MFC near the end because she started making some DUMB decisions. Mainly having to do with her ex. If she would have stood her ground, I would have liked it more but it definitely took some enjoyment away for me.

A sweet, tender, easy-to-read romance that takes place during the Depression Era. Written in a very similar vein to Grace Livingston HIll's writing.

I liked it pretty much until near the end. I can't stand dithering females who can't make up their minds. To me there would have been no contest.
