Second Chance

Jan and Mark had been divorced five years when grief touched them both and they looked for the truth about their son's death. In the process Mark's new-found faith began to wear down the barriers of Jan's distrust as she opened her heart to God and to her ex-husband. God granted them a second chance. Their search for the girl mentioned in their son's journal gave them another chance to be better parents, and to value God's gift even more. This emotional story touches on several issues and keeps the reader involved in their lives all the way to the very last page.

Wonderful read

I've read all of Lorena Mccourtney's books. I've always enjoyed the humor in her mystery novels. This story is unlike any other she has written. What a powerful and touching story of God's love for us and plans we sometimes never understand. Lorena you are a wonderful storyteller. Keep writing for the Lord.

When divorced parents, Jan and Mark Hilliard, read the diary left by their son Tim after his suicide they find the name Stardust. They set out to find this girl and get more than they had imagined. This book is more mushy and religious than McCourtney's other books, but it does show the lengths people will go through to find answers to questions that don't always have answers.
