A sequel to In the Chat Room With God finds a group of teens contacted by a mysterious and increasingly malevolent character who claims to know about their encounters with the Almighty and challenges their beliefs. Original.
Not good, not bad. Wouldn’t read it again. Deals with some good issues, but not my style. It does have a pretty good story line and some good backstories but there’s not really an explanation for the characters. I also found it hard to get into because of the format. Another thing was I didn’t like how the kids didn’t tell an adult or report “Watcher55” to the authorities. It could be better, but I do understand those types of books can be hard to write and I appreciate the authors work. :)
It was a quick read and held my interest. It made some good points. The slang seemed over the top and became a distraction to the story line for me. It sounded like adults (the authors) trying to sound like teens.
Dislikes: messaging style slang the fact that none of the kids told any adult or reported the stranger Ghost’s identity was obvious for the first appearance
I love the original C.S Lewis book screw tape letters and this one is great too and it teaches a lot, I love the way it’s written I would love to read more books written in this form.
