I read the first five volumes one after another, so, I'll just review them together:

These were great adaptations of Old Testament stories; between kings such as Josiah and Hezekiah, prophets such as Ezekiel and Jeremiah, not to mention the stories from the book of Daniel, they made the Biblical text come to life. Even Ehud, King David, and King Saul make an appearance. Regardless of your age, if you have trouble understanding the Bible in written or spoken form, these will definitely help you learn the timeless truths of God's Word.

I liked it, but had a hard time figuring out the storyline. I don't know whether this is suppose to be following biblical accounts or if its set in bible times and made up stories are added? I plan to read the next one and see if that will enlighten me to some information.

Some interesting art. The writing attempts to contextualize the Biblical narrative and retell familiar stories in a fresh way. Great cliffhanger ending. Sometimes, however, the story/art can be hard to follow.

I like the way the story is told - starting from the end, then going into flashbacks of King Josiah's reign. I especially like the last line.
