Garbage Night .
I enjoyed the idea behind it. Just some kids trying to survive in a post-apocalyptic wasteland. Enjoyed the art style, the characters were fun. My biggest issue was the pacing. The story feels rushed.
Left with too many questions and wanting more even if I didn't quite enjoy the characters. The premise is great but with an asshole character (Barnaby) being such a dick to Simon's friends, and Simon being such a pushover doing absolutely nothing when his friends get bullied by this asshole (and them weirdly just... rolling with it and not standing up for themselves!?)... I couldn't get around to actually liking the story. I wanted more about why they are in their situation. What happened to the humans? What happens when they go into that other town? I'd guess they'd bump into Barnaby again at some point.
Anyway it felt like I only read a chapter of a multiple part story (only 70 pages long. Then a short story called "Vacancy" is tagged on after). After looking it up I could only find a "Garbage Night: Complete collection", but I couldn't find any pictures of pages suggesting the story continued in that one? Dunno, might have to see it at the library if they have it. If it is a longer story I'd consider reading that one instead.
I was expecting more from this but maybe I just have to accept this is just what it was lol
