Where Noah's job ended, Mike Capuzzo's work begins! Animals are his beat, and across the country, readers can't get enough of his award-winning humor column. Discover for yourself just how wise and witty he can be as he gives sound advice for animal owners of the domestic breed, and explores the nature of the beast. From the birds and the bees to bats in the belfry, he answers such curious questions * How can dogs and cats improve one's love life? * What should one do when a gorilla charges? * Why do cats get chummy with the one person in the room who hates cats? * Do rats have feelings? * How can a parrot be smarter than a three-year-old child? * What was the meanest dinosaur that ever lived? * And many more!

Formerly a feature writer for the Philadelphia Inquirer and Miami Herald, Capuzzo has written for Esquire, Life, and Sports Illustrated. A four-time Pulitzer Prize nominee, his recent bestseller, "Close to Shore: A True Story of Terror in an Age of Innocence", tells the blood-curdling truth about the deranged great white shark that became the prototype for the villian of Peter Benchley's "Jaws".
A collection of the syndicated newspaper column of the same name, detailing silly and serious items on the animal kingdom. This was a "bedside book" for me; perfect short attention span theater material. The chapters are organized by "things," like "White House Dog Things" and "Your Pet Cat Things." Within the chapters are little tidbits of titillation, like slugs with penises larger than their bodies and White House staff with a penchant for killing dogs. Nothing earth shattering here, but it provided for interesting dreams.
