About the author

John Hutton is a professor of art history at Salem College in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. He has written and illustrated several children’s books, including Alphababel: An Illustrated Tower of Languabets and the Sister Maus series. He is the author of The White House ABC: A Presidential Alphabet and illustrator of The White House Easter Egg Roll: A History for All Ages. His newest book, How to Draw the Presidents, was released by the White House Historical Association in 2019.
