You can not read this book and remain the same for it’s the only book that’s alive and active (Heb 4:12). I read this book with a group of ladies and watched us all experience greater depths of Christ’s love, peace, and joy in our lives.

We will all face Jesus one day and I pray if you don’t believe that or think it matters, just read the New Testament with an open heart and mind and then decide.

I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will empower you with inner strength through his Spirit. And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is. Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him. Your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong. May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God. Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think.
Ephesians 3

This is the first time I read the NLT translation of the New Testament. I have always used NASB and I find for an easy to read version, this one holds quite true to the thoughts and themes of more complicated translations.

These two books are two books that everyone should read. They will guide your path and help you understand what is expected of you and what to except. Love them! There is a lot of repetition and that is because of the importance of the words in them; after Psalms 70 there are many chapters that have been partially made into songs of worship. I found myself singing parts of many a chapter. They are both great books to meditate on and to spend quiet time with.

I've read this through several times. Each day I spent about 15mins a day and finished the entire bible in a year. The bible as you may know is a tough read, yet the way they have sectioned it out is creative and makes it much easier. Perfect for family's or study.

Time to start over again! This year, i'm trying to read through both old & new testaments & I'm using an app on my phone. Takes more time, but instead of just reading in the morning, I'm trying to read in both the mornings & evenings. Good resolution for ht new year! I challenge everyone to try it- this is a great book to help.

Our church read through the New Testament this year, one chapter a day, five days a week. I love doing it this way because it was never hard to stay up to date, and they were small enough chunks to really be thoughtful about reading it. I often was able to read D.A. Carson’s For The Love of God as a companion, which was wonderful. Such a great way to finish the year.

NLT isn’t my favorite, but I really liked the size of the book. And I really liked the layout.

I’m not good at devotional style, so I got caught up at the end of the year.

I also did not read the little devotions at the bottom, thought they were silly.

But, this is Gods Word so 5/5
