Unveiled Mysteries describes an encounter between the author and Saint Germain, an Ascended Master, virtually a God, who is able to manipulate the fabric of reality. The author, Guy Ballard, using the pen name "Godfré Ray King," describes a series of astral trips in time and space with Saint Germain, to lost civilizations in South America and the Sahara, as well as well-stocked bunkers of the ancients in the Grand Tetons, Yellowstone, and Mount Shasta. The author and Saint Germain revisit past lives as citizens of Atlantis and Mu, and they turn out to be relatives. A final chapter mentions encounters with entities from Venus.
Here is an astounding memoir of King's many visits with St. Germaine. The Ascended Master takes King to hidden places and forgotten cities where we are told of magnificent surroundings and great inventions that seem miraculous. However, what we would deem as miracles, King says, are really natural phenomena not yet understood by our present society.
King's memoir is at times stirring and at times tedious. The tedium comes from seemingly endless descriptions of opulence and speeches that tend toward preaching. Yet his liberal use of dashes focuses our attention on the important words of his message in a way that in most cases allows us to be stirred. Within us an understanding of Scripture and perhaps our own experiences arise, and we see a connection.
Those interested in spiritual growth may want to read again and again the parts that explain the I AM affirmations and the necessity to lead a God-centered life. The practices explained here are instructive and beneficial enough to be life-changing. And although King describes the treasures that St. Germaine shows him ad nauseum, the real treasure in this book is the guidance to personal perfection. It can awaken in the reader a deep yearning for that perfection and for a relationship with the spiritual.
The passion of the author is clear, although he writes in a florid, formal style which might have seemed old-fashioned or stilted even in 1930 when the book was written. There are some valuable wisdom teachings here, though the writing style and continued repetition of the same ideas and phrases made the reading tedious. Channeling a book of Enlightenment teachings in 1930 took a lot of courage, and I applaud the author for publishing his work.
There is a call I respectfully disagree with, to concentrate only on the heart, throat and brow chakras. " 'In this New Order, the discipline for the neophyte will be focusing and maintaining his attention entirely upon the three highest centers of the body, and he will do all his work at these points. ...only by looking away from the lower centers will he ever be able to rise out of misery and limitation.' " (No mention is made of the crown chakra).
This is a practice I specifically caution my students and clients against. As incarnated beings on the Earth plane, we need to integrate the entire chakra system as a whole to achieve and maintain balance and health. Cutting off the root, sacral, and solar plexus chakras not only cuts off the flow of feminine energy, it prevents a person from being grounded and securely anchored in the lifetime. The root chakra is a source to both receive nourishing energy from the Divine Feminine and also to release for transmutation the dense energies which harm body and spirit. The sacral chakra is the seat of creativity, procreation, sexuality, and sensuality. The solar plexus is the base of our personal power and the seat of the personal identity.
Rather than viewing our primal, Earth-based, and magnetic feminine chakras as representing those parts of humanity we need to abolish, they should be seen as necessary parts of the total incarnated beings we have chosen to be. Work in the upper chakras is very taxing on the body and spirit when there is no outlet for grounding this powerful energy. For example, long periods spent channeling, in astral travel, performing mediumship, or even giving healing sessions can lead to migraines, anxiety, and nightmares if the intense energies being used in the higher chakras are not moved through the system and released through the root. Grounding is essential health maintenance and even medicine for all of us!
Perhaps what is being discussed is a process of Ascension rather than a path to Enlightenment. This would make more sense -- cutting off the three lower chakras if the body is being transcended at the time of soul transition which occurs at physical death.
Even though the author describes a powerful bond and interaction with a panther, an animal who communicated directly with him and the Ascended Master and performed a Divine purpose at the Master's instruction, no mention is made of animal spirituality or of the God-self inherent in animals. Generally, they seem to be regarded as "lower" beings which is a disappointment, and probably a reflection of the cultural milieu of the author in 1930. I assert that God-self or Godspark is not "higher" or "lower" in any creature -- human or not -- as all emanations of God/Goddess are equally Divine.
I particularly enjoyed the teachings about manifestation and co-creation which must have seemed quite radical at the time. Definitely a book to ponder and provoke deep thought!
This book takes you through the miracles that are actually quite normal when considered in the scope of Universal Law. Following Godfre Ray King's journeys with Ascended Master Saint Germain, he is shown glimpses of magnificent civilizations past; how they rose to power by following the Will of God, as well as how they fell into ruin as the citizens turned towards worldly pleasures. He also shares gems of spiritual wisdom. This book is an enlightening treasure chest of knowledge to the seeker.
I read this primarily because of my interest in the Ascended Masters and the teachings of Elizabeth Clare Prophet. Prophet talks about her introduction to Saint Germain through the writings of Guy Ballard/Godfré Ray King and the I AM movement. I gave this book 2 stars because that's about how much of the content I found engaging - these parts talked about the Law of Attraction, Universal law, the Inner self/ higher self/ God-self, the Ascended Masters and metaphysical perspectives on human life. The overall point of the book is Ballard/King's initial meeting with Saint Germain and the wonders and teachings imparted to him.
Most of the book was a slog through the authors "travels" with Saint Germain into past lives with super exhausting details about how things looked, were manufactured, and lost ancient technology. Lots of secret compartments in mountains full of gold and gems. It was like descriptions in the Old Testament of the instructions God gave to build the ark, or the temple - very detailed and very boring. Or the worst parts of fantasy novels - world building history lessons that are unnecessary and exhausting.
This book is the first in a very long series. I'm determined to keep going but we'll see if the books continue in the same vein, or if there is more clarity and focus on spiritual teachings moving forward.
I would only recommend reading for academic/special interest research.
This book is excellent and is my second time reading it. The information contained within is most precious to me. My love and gratitude goes out to Saint Germain and Godfrey Ray King. Your loving service to Life is certainly much appreciated by me and such a blessing to all humanity.
This is a great metaphysical book. In 2000 I visited Mt.Shasta, CA & I was imagining tracing Guy Ballards steps. I've read it a few times & every time I read it I learn something new.
My teacher Yogacharya Dharmananda advised me one should never be skeptical, that one should always prod to the heart of the message of what’s being said and drop all pretense. If you, the reader, can do this and then accept the undeniable divine wisdom within these pages, I would bet your whole way of seeing the universe and your place in it will open up like you won’t believe.
Thoroughly enjoyed this book. Much different than most as it tells a weaving enlightened story. You can't wait to get to the end. I hope you find what you have been seeking. It may be closer than you thought. Namaste
Welp, hear me out. Places like national parks have different police, and it is not safe or easy to fix problems alone in nature… even with a “spirit” ! I did actually go to peru after some interesting new age internet inspiration. I want to say it is not super affordable or reliable… like i git sick and stuff, but my inner vision of the place or my expectation was super different. The shore is rocky and dramatic and chilling. But! I am super thankful for free reading online, but you need to start with the heart, with your fellow humans or home chores… however… life at home was odd for me, so I did need to propel myself and follow inspiration to feel desire to survive. I guess… I disagree with fantasies of onyx and marble, because I got into MORE mysteries of life, like keel books and angelology, and it increases activity in the aether, so what is the point of a pretty white floral tapestry or mausoleum… if the cat dragged in spittoon colors and baking emf? I advise you stick to free material, libraries or what is online. The saint is unheard of but triggers an idea like a trip between germany and france, like a gorgeous european hike with lambs and women making lace and a harp… but the tetons seem to have a different energy to me, and crimes do happen. Never travel alone, or even with just one other person… if possible. Ok?! Ok.
I just finished unveiled mysteries. Pretty interesting. I was super into the first third of the book. It was speaking to a lot of my struggle with myself in a pretty comprehensive way. I got kind of wary that I was studying and buying into a religion. My experience with indoctrination at the hands of the evangelical Christian church informed me about the pit falls of religions. However, not all religions and churches solely serve themselves. There has to be room out there for truthful, comprehensive, and selfless theology and practice. That being said, I am very aware of conditioning and narcissistic tactics employed by those who seek power and influence over others, only for power and influences sake. There were signs of those things in this book, tread lightly. The main principles are valuable all the same, including valuable to me. It reads like a self-help book in fantasy/adventure form. Very enticing to someone like me. Keep in mind that everything you read doesn’t have to hold all truths to be worthwhile to you and your life, I will read the next installment in the series…
Very interesting book where the Ascended Master St. Germain is mentioned. This book narrates the encounters of the author and St. Germain, travelling to retreats around the American continent, having experiences that are supernatural, and receiving messages and teachings to advance the author's consciousness. A quick read, not very philosophical like other discourses or messages from St. Germain, and a great introduction to the Ascended Masters, their mission, and the ideology of the New Age.
The teachings show the way to receive the light and love of the heavenly light and be transformed in body...mind and soul. To become pure love and light and serve as a beacon to all that cross ur path.illuminating every shadow so that all will be one with the heavenly father radiating Christ consciousness a nd walking bin spirit
This book is a great reminder of the Christ light residing in everyone of us . All we need to do is acknowledge it ,and feel this mighty IAM presence within us . This is the true God connection with our creator that we all seek .all we need is to look within, not without . This is the great message contained in this book .
A personal account of the author meeting the Ascended Master St. Germain in 1930. They travel through time and space to lost continents, ancient civilizations, past lives, and to current secret retreats and mines inside mountains. It was recommended to me because so much of it takes place inside the Tetons and Yellowstone and because I am hungry for information about the spiritual planes. It was a fascinating read, kept me up very late every night. At times I was dubious about the accuracy of the details, and sometimes I got tired of the descriptions of the "beautiful," sumptuous decorations of the palaces. Occasionally it sounded preachy or judgmental about how people should honor God, but overall his attitude is positive and open-minded. After reading the book I learned that it led to the "I AM Activity," a spiritual movement that had some controversy around it. That controversy took away somewhat from my experience of the book, which by itself is a lovely account.
Must read material for all travelers on the path of Ascension.
Beautiful green softcover, I wouldn't say it's a normal paperback, it's embossed and "feels different" to your standard paperback. The paper itself is a golden yellow and the text violet (upon reading the book these color choices are self evident and wonderful additions).
Therein we learn of Guy Ballard (writing as Godfre Ray King) as he encounters Ascended Master Saint Germain and the instruction he receives from him. We are taken on journeys to (among other places) the Royal Teton, Yellowstone, the Amazon and ancient cities & are treated to descriptions of the wonders that Guy sees and is taught.
The first in the Saint Germain Series is such a foundational book that without reading this you are holding your own ascension back, read it now and meet with Ascended Master Saint Germain yourself!
I rated this book with only two stars much earlier and I don't know why. Perhaps I wasn't in the right place on my Spiritual path. Now I am reading the second book and the world is a different place where more possibilities exist and I'm not so quick to dismiss them. I have a good friend much younger than me but wiser in many ways I definitely will be offering to loan this book to. I will be interested in seeing what HE has to say about them. The first one I believe is online for free at www dot sacred-texts dot com.
For those who have experienced the unexplainable in their lives, and seek to gain a better understanding of aspects of reality that are ignored by most, these are very valuable books. Whether you take them as true or mere possibilities is up to you. If you have been guided to read these books, then you may be ready for them, and they likely have value for you.
They may help you to WAKE UP and become aware of life.
The series: - Unveiled Mysteries - The Magic Presence - The "I AM" Discourses
This book enlightens us as to our true nature of Being. Which really helps us to appreciate the magnificence in which we are truly made. I highly recommend this book as a must read for those on the spiritual path. As well as to those who are newly aware of their spiritual needs. The Ascended Master Saint Germain brings to light much that we are in need of realizing. In very simple clear and very articulate words. Truth revealed and easily understood.
The late author, Guy Ballard, writing under the pen name Godfre Ray King, claims that these were true events. Whether you believe that or not, the book is a highly entertaining and riveting tale of a man's search for God and truth.
