About the author

John Eckhardt is overseer of Crusaders Ministries, located in Chicago, Illinois. Gifted with a strong apostolic call, he has ministered throughout the United States and overseas in more than eighty nations. He is a sought-after international conference speaker and has authored more than twenty books, including Identifying and Breaking Curses, Prayers That Rout Demons, Prayers That Break Curses, Prophet, Arise!, and God Still Speaks. He also produces a weekly television program, Perfecting the Saints. Eckhardt resides in the Chicago area with his wife, Wanda.

Though I would read this again, I couldn’t quite give it a total of 5 stars. I did a lot of highlights and more than likely i will review those versus reading the book over. I was hoping for more in depth of getting rid of curses. As a believer I am aware of praying them free but maybe the author could of wrote different types of prayers for each curse in depth. A good read overall.

truly a short read and a must read for anyone having a difficult time and need to get closer to God again. the back of the book jacket reads... perhaps you are plagued by family disputes and bickering. your marriage is crumbling and you just can't seem to connect with your kids. maybe you're sick or just living from paycheck to paycheck. you've prayed and fasted and prayed some more, but nothing seems to work. no matter, what your ailment is--financial, familial, physical--you may be unknowingly living under a curse. here is how to determine if you're under a curse and if so, how to break that curse. if you are experiencing marital discord, i recommend this book first, then gary smalley's books (for better or for best: understanding your husband & if he only knew)

called spiritualism and witchcraft a "perversion". everyone has different beliefs, no need to demonise spirituality and practices that have been around longer than christianity

A re-read

I read this book again hoping that I may have overlooked some aspect of the message..No..... I missed nothing the first time. While the information is
interesting, there was very little information that was new or thought provoking

The Holy Bible tells us that there are things as curses. The Earth, animals and humans were cursed because of transgressions. When Jesus died on the cross, the curse was lifted but why is the world still suffering? Because humans have committed numerous sins and never stops, and curses still haunts the world. A curse bound us to a life of difficulty -Sickness, disease, drugs, immorality, criminality, etc. We should break these chains of curses then. Many people are too afraid of things they don’t know or understand. If we believe in God, why should we be afraid?

Curses are the main reasons one cannot get his deliverance. There are also those spirits that must be driven out of people to get really free.

This was a concise but loaded spiritual warfare/ministry book. It is a handy guide for the beginning spiritual warrior. There are plenty of biblical passages and practical application examples here.
