Some really useful information about communication, sleep and crying. We had a difficult day yesterday with a vey overtired baby and I feel much better equipped now to read his cues and respond accordingly.

This was a gift when I had a baby, and it was one of the most useful books on my parenting shelf. The book details, with heaps of photos, the development of your baby's first attempts to communicate, from shortly before birth right through to the toddler stage.

Having this book made my early parenting experiences much richer, and I recommend it to any new parents.

I feel like the salient points could have been made into a pamphlet. Also, felt super bummed that it took way longer than the other babies for MY baby to do the things the babies in the book were doing.
