THIS IS AN OLD EDITION. The RMS Queen Mary is indeed a legendary ship with a legendary tale. Born to reign upon the oceans, she has been a testament to British shipbuilding. A stately masterpiece, she survived many obstacles and disasters while traveling the oceans. In war and peace, her career has been unrivaled by any other ship. Paranormal researcher and author, Nicole Strickland, gives a thorough account of the RMS Queen Mary's historical events and discusses paranormal encounters on the ship. The book discusses the author's own paranormal encounters on the ship as well as sharing some of the ghostly experiences of colleagues, friends and visitors have experienced on the Mary as well.
Just under half of this book is devoted to the history of the Queen Mary and while interesting, it has tiny details I simply just don't really care much about. The heart of the book is of course the paranormal stories from the author, her friends, and from other tourists. There are quite a lot of them and they range from being creepy to even amusing. There are some black and white photographs in here as well, but unfortunately they're of poor quality. Overall this book was well worth the read, so pick it up in the gift shop should you happen to visit the Queen Mary.
I am obsessed with the Queen Mary so I thought this book would be amazing. I don't know how such an amazing piece of history, supernatural lore, and Hollywood fun could be made so boring. Had to DNF. I love the ship as much as anyone but I really don't care what type of wood every piece of the ship is made from or what metal was used in the engine room.
Wonderful read. This book bridges the history of the RMS Queen Mary with its paranormal activity. The author's love of the ship is evident in her writing.
