The first book by the authors of Honky Tonk Heroes and Hillbilly Angels: The Pioneers of Country and Western Music. Profiles of 14 Rock & Roll pioneers, with biographical essays on the left and colorful folk-art style portraits on the right. Both of these texts would be good models for student writing and publishing. The essays average around 300 words. For ages 9-12.
