Ruth Gunter Mitchell's Nothing but the Blood is a hard-hitting yet spiritually uplifting story of one woman's wanton and self-destructive life in the Deep South of America, as told through her eyes and those of other women.
At times this book was considered, by me, to be a little wordy; but you become so engrossed in the characters you continue to read on. I can see the subject, maybe not the lives of the characters, being true for others. it is a hard book about life.
