This was quite a pleasant surprise. I didn't really have any expectations for this one, and that might have helped it in the long run. This is a collection of three stories: "Beyond My Touch", "Cool Lips", and "Recipe". The title story is the longest one and the most developed. It follows a lonely boy, Mizuno, who meets the ghost of a boy, Mamoru, he knew in his class. Mamoru is kept in purgatory because of his unmet feelings for Mizuno. This story was beautiful and my favorite in the collection. The writing is what really stuck out to me. Some of the inner monologues of the characters is very thought provoking. If you're looking for something cute and light with an air of melancholy, I would recommend this one.

This one wasn't powerfully affecting to me. It was worth the time to read but it will never make even the bottom of my list of ones I can't stop thinking about.
On the plus side, the story was sweet and the boys were so young and innocent I just watend to hug them. Not a very sexual story, as you can see.
The message the manga-ka sent out to me was that wonderful feeling we have when we are around people that make us feel loved and wanted is a feeling to cherish and never lose. We can be living 'ghosts' if we have no one that wants and loves us in our life, if we push everyone away.
This was a gift from a former friend when I started college. I used to love manga and devour yaoi. But reading this a second time has really opened my eyes to what used to be my obsession.
All of these stories were lukewarm. In "Beyond My Touch," the story drags through three whole issues, which was unnecessary. "Cool Lips" was disappointing for even a boy's love genre, and in "Recipe," I'm pretty sure that Minoru didn't fall for Takashi's baking, so I'm not sure why he suddenly stopped baking. The art was also not that great, so I'll be glad to get rid of this manga.
Sweet and touching light shounen-ai stories make this volume a delightful breeze to read. There’s nothing particularly ground-breaking in any of the short stories, but they’re entertaining and endearing. I look at it as an easy entry point into the type of stories you’ll encounter if you delve deeper into the genre. Like dipping a toe into the shallow end of the pool.
