As the only child of a mother who did not like to cook, I have eaten out almost every day of my life ... so I certainly know good food when I see it.This cookbook is broken up into ten main sections - Breakfasts, Blue Plate Specials, Fish, Gravies and Sauces, Side Dishes, Breads, Soups and Stews, Salads and Snacks, Desserts, and Jams/Jellies/Condiments.
Cafe cooking is not hard; in fact it is nothing more than good, old-fashioned home cooking not done at home. And overall, I thought this was a fun literary connection to one of my favorite books. I'm really happy to have this one in my collection.
