For her latest book, bestselling author Linda Jones has created 30 imaginative, contemporary-looking designs that are both quick and easy to make. Bead and wire jewellery is one of the fastest-growing crafts, with more and more people discovering the joys of making unique, hand-crafted pieces every year. In these recession-hit times, Linda Jones demonstrates how almost anything - from old buttons and broken necklaces, to pebbles picked up on a stroll along the beach, and even household staples such as washers, bolts and plumbing chain - can be transformed into graphic, stylish pieces of jewellery that won't break the bank. Eye-catching and fashionable, with something to suit all ages and tastes: this is bling on a budget!
This is by far the best book I've seen for both technique and projects. It has great ideas and inspiration as well as well written instructions that can be used far beyond the projects shown in the book. My only complaint is that there are a few photos that don't show the proper angle for a clear understanding of what the picture is trying to depict. Other than that, I think this is a wonderful book for anyone looking to work with wire and beads!
Loved this one! Great for beginner/intermediate techniques, variety of styles and projects. Some very interesting and original ideas. My favorite was the stretchy-chain charm bracelet. What a brilliant idea! You get all the niceties of the chain look, but on an easy to remove, no clasp bracelet. I made my daughter one with handmade polymer clay charms and she takes it everywhere!!
