This is a weird book - big and small at the same time. We have a chapter about the story of animation we have chapters about digital photography and how to create stop motion puppets and interview with big and small artists.
I like it that way. The book feels personal. Just like te best stop-motions feels personal. It has a lot of different things - just like you need t know a lot of different things to create a stop-motion movie.
I'm not an animator, mind it. Nor do I want to be one. But I enjoyed the book, learnt a lot, and feel like I can appreciate more the stop-motions I watch now. So, five stars.
