Written as part of Kris 'n' Good Books' 'choose your own m/m story' challenge. This is now hosted by Goodreads' M/M Romance Group.
The story prompts for the author were: 1. the setting ~ a small town bar which is more than it seems 2. some background to one of the main protags ~ one of the main characters' father is a drag queen 3. another character/s ~ a female gay romance writer who keeps watching and taking notes 4. a conflict ~ a team bus breaks down in the middle of “bumfuck nowhere” ( <- you have to use that phrase) 5. an object/phrase to be mentioned in the story somewhere ~ a tshirt which says “I support Sidney Crosby of the Pittsburgh Penguins and anyone else who plays against Steve Yzerman of the Wings" & four of your WTF?! responses to choice #5
Stephani Hecht is a happily married mother of two. Born and raised in Michigan, she loves all things about the state, from the frigid winters to the Detroit Red Wings hockey team. Go Wings! You can usually find her snuggled up to her laptop, creating her next book or gorging on caffeine at her favorite coffee shop.
When she’s not running around like crazy, trying to get her kids to their various activities, she’s currently working on numerous projects. In the coming months, she has several books coming out with eXtasy Books in both The Lost Shifter Series and Drone Vampire Chronicles, plus a few additional projects that are still in the development stages.

The story itself is pretty good, sexy, funny, hot, and man, I love the two main characters. I wish Stephanie will bring both Steve and Wayne into a novella.
And LOOK at the CHALLENGE INGREDIENTS that Stephani must worked with. Especially with the "drag queen", the "bumfuck nowhere", AND "a tshirt which says “I support Sidney Crosby of the Pittsburgh Penguins and anyone else who plays against Steve Yzerman of the Wings” ...
SERIOUSLY??
Anyone who can come up with a story as sexy as this, with those challenge ingredients?? Well, it definitely deserve high praise
So being a Hawks fan I am certainly not a fan of the Dead Wings. However, I am a fan of Steven's! This was a hot smexy story starring a hockey goalie and a bartender. It was fun and a little bit romantic too.
A great read! I am suddenly drawn to the sport of hockey. It was a short steamy story which had two great main characters. Rival team supporters sharing a common interest.
Cute story and great job working with the prompts given! Loved the hockey theme and hilarious use of the drag queen father. Great story by Stephani yet again-I just love her hockey stories!
