When Molly Hayes' marriage fell apart, she ran home to Hayes Ranch to lick her wounds. What she really wants to lick is foreman Chance McDaniel, the star of all her erotic fantasies. But he had never given her the time of day. Why would he give her his nights?
Kink is a mild term for the kind of sex Chance McDaniel enjoys. But he's learned the hard way not all women can handle his darker desires. He aches to give Molly the ride of her life but fears she'll shy away from his wilder ways.
Will the past become a stumbling block or will both Molly and Chance, once wounded, climb back in the saddle?

If you are looking for a story on the shorter side with some hot cowboy lovin’, this is one to check out.
Molly has been drooling over Chance since she was a teen. Having just returned home from a failed marriage, Molly wonders if her dreams can finally come true. Chance was nineteen when he met thirteen-year-old Molly. It was a world of difference then, but he still knew she was the woman of his dreams. His own marriage couldn’t survive his continual comparison to his idealistic Molly. Now she’s back, they’re both grown up and single, and this kinky, dominant cowboy wants to know if Molly is up to his challenge.
The fact that the two had shared a past lent credibility to the story. It also gave such a quick read some juice to work with. It was most definitely one kinky erotic story. Sweaty cowboy luvin’ is my thing, and BACK IN THE SADDLE delivered.
I loved how Chance was torn over his need to take Molly on a wicked ride instead of a sweet and loving journey. It’s a good thing his lust won out over his cowboy altruism. A good thing for Molly and for me, the reader. Yee haw! It was as much fun reading his struggle and drooling over his sensitivity as it was sweating out the steamy scenes.
This was a sweet story, good characters and nice development in a smaller package than your usual novel. If you only have an afternoon to dedicate to some hot cowboy luvin’, this is definitely one to check out. Enjoy!

Very nice short story. I just love those hot cowboys and he didn't disappoint. My only complaint was that it was too short. It would have been better to get some background on the characters. The sex was blazing though and who can argue with that?
The cover got my attention! I totally enjoyed this book!
What it's about . . .

What I thought . . .
I was drawn in from the first few pages. I couldn't put it down. This was a very well written great story of romance family and faith. The story line was great. The author did a wonderful job of weaving together a romance along with a little real life struggles all interwoven into a story full of grace and forgiveness.
I enjoyed the characters. I felt like they were all fully developed.
I look forward to the next installment in the series. I always look forward to reading the stories of a sub-character in a book.
The main characters Colt and Angelina are both well developed. Colt a is strong and dependable. Angelina is
'spit fire'. Her character is cute, strong and opinionated.
Angelina doesn't mind telling everyone what she is thinking and manages to help not only Colt but his father as well come to a closer relationship with God.
Overall I really enjoyed this book. It was difficult to 'put down' I would recommend it.
My rating is 5 stars . . .

Ohhhh-kay. Back in the Saddle got me, and I got it. Let me explain. Chance does things to Molly that I kind of dig, so when I’m sitting there reading every single thing I like in one scene, you can understand that I got a little flustered. Phew.
Chance hasn’t been able to really go for it in the bedroom because his ex wife tricked him into thinking she enjoyed what he enjoyed, and then when they got married she backed off. So from then on he was worried that any woman he bedded afterward was hiding her true feelings. So it was understandable that when the woman he’d loved for years returned to her father’s ranch where he worked, he’d think, if Molly told him she liked what he wanted to do, that she was lying.
Molly, on the other hand, has her own worries. She wants the same things as Chance but has never been able to explore her desires because her ex husband was a selfish asshole who only thought of himself. So when she gets together with Chance and he shows her the world she’s been craving, she’s in heaven.
BEST BITS: Trying to learn what it was all about. ...like a toothpick in comparison. (LMAO) “Will you let me tie your hands? To the headboard?” He lounged in the doorway, his Stetson pushed back on his head, arms crossed and a hungry look in his eyes. (Oh yeah. I’d say I had that hungry look right about then too.)
VERDICT: For me, this was one hot read. Oh, and the butterfly. I mustn’t forget that. O.M.G! Just the thought of it has my heart fluttering.
A very erotic novella from the pen of well-known author Desiree Holt. A heroine who is home licking the wounds of a hurtful divorce and a worse marriage; a ranch foreman who is himself wondering if the woman he has loved for years will be able to accept him for who he is and not who she thinks he is. Molly is a well-educated woman whose father owns a thriving ranch and where the foreman is a man she has loved since she was fifteen years old. He never seemed to know she existed, and she went away to college and then married. Their getting re-acquainted seems accidental although there may be someone who possibly was helping their relationship along. After talking and spending an evening together, their affair begins, but the jury is still out with Chance as to whether Molly can handle his rougher ways, especially in the bedroom. Lots of hot loving and a few potholes in the road to true love.
This is my first book by Desiree Holt and I will be reading more of her books. Molly Hayes has returned to her father’s ranch to heal her pride after a failed marriage. Her heart always belonged to Chance McDaniel. Now Chance is the foreman for her father’s ranch. After a chance meeting at Rusty’s, she tells Chance she's wanted him since she was 15 years old. Molly learns that Chance has wanted her since they were kids as well. She soon learns that Chance is into kink. She wonders if this is something she would like to experience with him. Chance is not sure he can show her since he had a bad experience with his desires. Desiree takes us on a sensual journey through Molly as she discovers a more darker side of Chance. This is absolutely hot and sizzling to read.
A hot time in the old town tonight whenever you open a Desiree Holt book. With this one, you get Texas as it really is from a gal who lives here and knows what she writes is the true true pix! And the dialogue from true grit characters will singe your fingertips. A great read!
