Imperial Command

Rate this book
Danika is stubborn, feisty and in her first heat cycle. Gregory’s life is about to get interesting.

When a flitter-craft crash lands near Gregory’s lair, the Imperial Were-Panther doesn’t expect to find an unconscious female dangling from the captain’s harness. Danika is stubborn, feisty and in her first heat cycle.

Claiming Danika as his bond-mate is complicated by the reptilian cyborg who’s been sent to return her to her father’s estate, and an ex-fiancé who just won’t take no for an answer.

Award winning author Anne Kane lives in the beautiful Okanagan Valley with a bouncy little rescue mutt(Merlin the Wonder Dog), a slightly larger rescue dog (Lexi the Bouncy) a cantankerous Himalayan cat (Jeff), and too many fish to count. She has two handsome sons and seven adorable grandchildren. She's always been fascinated by science fiction and fantasy so of course when she writes, she lets her imagination take over. The one thing the reader can always count on is that the main characters will live happily ever after, even if they have to defeat a few nasty aliens first.

When she's not busy writing the next great novel, she likes to kayak, hike, ride motorcycles, swim, skate, practice karate, play her guitar, sing and of course, read.

Danika wants nothing to do with the arranged marriage her mother is forcing her into. Her intended, only wants her to breed his heirs in order to create a stronger line of succession for his empire. After attempting a last minute escape, Danika crash lands in the jungle, home of some of most dangerous predators.

Gregory left the world behind in order to form his own sanctuary out in the middle of the jungle. He’s the one to be feared out there and the one in control of the movements of the jungle. Fate has decided for him to meet his match.

Anne Kane creates a future world where females are a rarity and to kill one is kin to suicide. What an extraordinary idea! The pressure is on for were-panthers to find their bond mates or risk going it alone without the future of heirs. In Gregory you feel no such pressure initially until he meets his destiny and decides she’s not going anywhere. In Danika you feel her instinctive desire to control the decision of who her bond mate will be and in a sense trying to control the direction of her life. In a world where females can either become the prey or the predator, I found Danika to be an Alpha female in her own right. Anne Kane has many published works definitely worth checking into and this is only book one in the Mating Season series. I’d also like to make mention of how well rounded this story actually was and my favorite scenes were the ones where the two main characters were in their were-panther forms. The detailing is very realistic.

Recommended reading for sci-fi lovers looking for an excellent novella on two stubborn were-panther bond mates.

The Imperial Werepanters are back.

Gregory is living out in the Jungle when a Flitter crashes not far from his lair. What he finds is Danika, who is in heat and gorgeous.

She's fleeing an unwanted marriage to a human who doesn't take no for an answer.

Enjoyable fluff once agin by Anne Kane.

Imperial Command by Anne Kane is just plain fun. This novella moves quickly and packs a sweet little punch. I am happy to read more in this series.
