Denys Val Baker was a Cornish writer, specialising in short stories, novels, and autobiographical novels. He was also known for his activities as an editor, and promotion of the arts in Cornwall.
Apart from one tale 'Kevin' by Maggie Ross which is funny and sly this anthology is dire. Lots of stories written by men about women who like to trail about the house naked and review their 'physical charms' in pier mirrors. Lazy nonsense reflecting the times in which they were written. The most egregious is 'Everything a man needs' by Ronald Blythe. Save your money and your time and choose anything else to read.
