A very good book that is informative for both a beginner and an expert in the field of geology. Make sure you thoroughly read through the Introduction of the book if you are new to rock identification. The procedures and explanations of them in this section are detailed, yet very easy to understand. The book covers more rocks than I first expected it would due to its size. I recommend this book to anyone interested in learning about rocks in general or more about the process of identification. Excellent book.
