There are some lovely and beautiful projects which suffer from muddy and confusing instructions. The photography is great and the background information about buttons very interesting. I'm knocking it at least one star because I was just befuddled by the directions and I think of myself as a proficient beader/craftsperson.
Beautiful pieces but you really need a good sized collection of vintage buttons to make the pieces. Don't have one and see that collections are quite pricey. Nice photos.
This book is light on the actual history & value of buttons, but what little it has is intriguing. As far as the creation of button jewelry, there are some beautiful pictures of finished projects, but not enough instruction to make me, as a novice, feel confident I could attempt the projects. The project photos were inspiring, but I'm more likely to experiment on my own than follow these ideas.
