"Wraps" is full of irresistible and versatile recipes to suit almost any occasion, from a packed lunch to relaxed summer entertaining. Enjoy a wrap as an alternative to your lunchtime sandwich, or as a snack or light supper. Jennie Shapter's recipes are bursting with flavour and use a variety of wrappers, from tortillas and chapatis to crepes and Chinese pancakes. For a snack, try one of the Light Bites, such as Mini Lamb Kofta, or Wraps with Minted Creme Fraiche. For a relaxed lunch or supper, Simple Meals provides stylish ideas for both hot and cold dishes; try Avocado, Bacon and Brie Wraps or Chilli Chicken Enchiladas. Food on the Go provides great ideas for lunch boxes and al fresco eating, including Aubergine and Feta Cheese Rolls and Chicken Caesar Salad Wraps.
I'm having a cookbook clear-out, and have decided to leave reviews for some of the cookbooks before I donate them to charity.
This is a nice little cookbook with large illustrations and easy to follow recipes. The wrap recipes don't just use wheat flour wraps, but also pancakes, corn tortillas, chapattis, and recipes using vegetables as a wrap. If you wish to make the wraps from scratch too, all the recipes are at the very end of this book. As I now have to live on a gluten free diet I've sort of fallen out with wraps for the time being.
