Longfield's 365 Science Experiments is a handy step-by-step instructional for the basic of experiments in a variety of areas including weather, geology, and astronomy, to name a few. While there doesn't appear to be a suggested age for its target audience, it is a book that could be used each day to help science come alive for the young people in your life. I've marked several experiments to conduct with my seven-year-old grand-daughter so that when she has a little more in-depth scientific academic learning within the classroom this fall, she'll at least be introduced to some basic concepts during the summer to help form the basis of her education.
