Wisdom for Eternity Travelers
A diverse collection of wisdom snippets and inspirational quotes with Alaskan photographs and musings of a Been There - Seen That - sometimes wish I hadn't - Done That prodigal son. "I am not what I ought to be. I am not what I want to be. I am not what I hope to be. But still, I am not what I used to be. And, by the grace of God, I am what I am." This quote was penned by John Newton, a former slave ship captain who, after meeting his Savior, would give us the beloved hymn Amazing Grace. His quote echoes my heart's song... another redeemed, work-in-progress prodigal son traveling towards Eternity. Wisdom for Eternity Travelers addresses spiritual battles Christians fight, not the horrors of wars fought on battlefields. Having served in the USMC during the Vietnam era, I was among those fortunate to return home alive, and without the physical and mental scars many of my brothers and sisters in arms suffered. My heart goes out to them. In honor and respect to all those who have bravely fought and paid dearly for the freedom we enjoy as Americans, all proceeds from this book will be donated to the Wounded Warrior Project.

Brimmed with life-changing quotes, Fred D.'s Wisdom for Eternity Travelers is an enlightening and soul-soothing book.
Coming home unscathed from 26 years of hazardous living, Fred felt the blessings and guidance of God. He gathered all his favorite quotes from books, sermons, billboards, road signs, radio, and TV and put all things together to encourage, uplift, and inspire readers around the world.
Some famous sayings from notable people, including Confucius, Rick Warren, Mother Teresa, and Anne Frank, among others, are incorporated in this book to remind readers that faith, kindness, and love are things needed to live meaningfully.
As Anne Frank says, "No one has ever become poor by giving." Such truth conveys that life involves giving not just for finances but for things that matter in life. It is seconded by Helen Keller, who quotes that "the best and most beautiful things in life cannot be seen or touched but must be felt with the heart." With this, Mother Teresa's quote resonates deeply and is so aligned with it, believing that "words that do not carry the light of Christ increase the darkness around us."
