A slave, born and bred for pleasure must overcome his own fears and help his master open his heart once more. All the while, however, relationships between two vast empires are deteriorating the clock is ticking and the War of Days draws nigh.
He's kind of annoying....and the main character just has the voice of a woman...or a very very feminine man..... "And I squealed"...really? wow...... Already a broken slave boy and then a girly man....great.... -_-
I'm having a hard time reading it. I really want to like it, but the writing is so juvenile and all over the place. The characters are written unnaturally and lean towards overexaggeration or sound like the authors voice and not the character's. The characters jump through emotions so fast and without reason, leaving the reader a bit confused. The story definitely feels like a first-time author wrote it.
The dialogue goes from very royal, proper, posh speech to the same character saying "Later, Dusk" like he is suddenly modern. There are also some themes I can see becoming major pitfalls already.
Overall, it is a promising story, but I would love to see it polished/refined before reading it again.
