An Auschwitz survivor, Polish author Jozef Garlinski tells the story of movements - particularly the underground - and their efforts to derail Hitler's last chance for Victory in The V1 and V2 rockets.
Really liked this book. A good overview of the war with particular focus on the British and Polish resistance movement to Nazi secret weapons. Nice pacing and some very interesting anecdotes, although 1 in particular seemed completely superfluous to the rest of the narrative.
I was a little disappointed in this book. I was expecting it to be more about weapons, technology, and their usage - it was more a disjointed history of Nazi Germany with frequent references to Penemuede. Too much politics, not enough missles
