Welcome to the Candy shop

Where poison never tasted so sweet...

Sugar Daniels is nobody’s victim.

Cool, calm, and collected, she’s the epitome of a femme fatale and nothing like the little girl she used to be.

As the original Candy girl, she’s on a mission to save as many ill-fated people as possible,

Buying redemption with every lost soul she finds.

But the foundation that Sugar built her life upon is about to be ripped out from under her,

Each carefully constructed lie detonating on impact.

With smoke and mirrors everywhere she turns and a line of people vying for her head,

Sugar will have to fight to the bitter end if she wants to protect the people she loves.

Even if that means going all the way back to the beginning,

Back to the girl she once was, exposing secrets and leaving a trail of destruction along the way.

From the darkest betrayals to the sweetest surrender,

Everything Sugar endured, everything she built, all leads back home.

But home isn’t where her heart is

Home is where the monsters are.

Authors note: Sugar is a touch darker than its predecessors; it contains themes such as lovers-to-enemies and enemies-to-lovers and is centered around a slightly unhinged leading lady who will end up with more than one love interest. Throw in a dash of mystery, a pinch of suspense, and stir in a few psychotic tendencies, and voila—instant Sugar satisfaction.

Triggers: This book contains dark themes, so please proceed with caution. Due to its content, this book is only suitable for people over the age of eighteen.

Sugar's story blew me away with all its twists and turns, even right to the end. The way it started I almost wasn't sure it was a RH but each 'addition' added to the twists. Absolutely phenomenal read.

Awww… Sugar. 🥺 None of the Candy girls had an easy life but Sugar? It was real bad. Leaving her company and family to confront her past, she comes ( 😏 ) face to face with three very different but all very criminal men. Lots and twists and turns here. Just when it looks like everything is figured out and settling down, everything gets turned upside down again. Excellent backstory for our very own Madam/Assassin. 💜

ARC Review of Sugar by Candice Wright
* * * * *
The darkest of the series so far for our long awaited head mistress of our deadly and beautiful assassins. You are just gripping with desire for its darkness and sultry goodness that melt together wonderfully.

Sugar is now finally having her time to shine, however her story is one born in darkness.
She suffered so much. Lost so much.
She has been smart, however. That has what has kept her alive and have a plan when the day came to battle her demons - specifically one horrid man. For that, she is going to help the most unlikely person...a man who through her in the shadows with the monsters...and marry him!
With her plan in motion, she did not expect a few extra dramas to be thrown in the mix: a steamy killer and a gentle boss man.
With her girls and her MC men, her unusual allies, and a wild plan, she will tear down the world that has darkened her soul and hurt many others...but how will this affect her heart and the love for the men she has fallen for?

This has to be my personal favourite of the series, but be warned dear readers, it is packed with trauma and cut-throat revenge plots that will have you on the edge of your seats...and the delicious orgasmic naughtiness that is also in this read is not bad either!
Calix is a killer, earning his name Carver, but the poor man also has a sweet side and Sugar's small generousity can have a huge impact on in.
Remy is a wildcard and has some issues raining in his temper...and sexual desires. All hair pulling and craving and into some twisted stuff.
Maxim is ties to the uderworld, power and control that no man should have, as well as a bunch of private jets. He's also the biggest gentle giant out of the group, but do no make the mistake that he can be soft in the bedroom!
Sugar's past makes me want to give her a hug, and her beautiful heart is what is needed in a dark world...also her slightly amazing sadistic side when it comes to facing mobsters and gangstas!

Candice Wright’s Candy Shop series is a nonstop adrenaline rush!

My Review ⤵️

They say good things come to those who wait, well I waited for Sugar’s story and it was definitely worth the wait!! Candice has given us another action packed, emotional roller coaster so hot that you may not be able to read it with out taking a cold shower to cool off.

Sugar has always been there for everyone, she’s made her own little family with her Candy Shop girls, but the time has come to face the demons of her past and she does that with a vengeance.

Sugar’s past, present and future are what make her who she is, and lucky for her there is more than one man who loves her for all that she is.

Candice’s books are not for the meek, so if you are a fade to black sort of reader this is not going to be the book for you. But, if you like your heroines strong and secure in their sexuality, and you like your heroes to actually take a step back and let their heroine take control then this is the book for you.

This is a fantastic series that is spicy and so much more, do not miss out on these!

Listen, if you thought the basics of Sugar’s background were awful when revealed in pieces in Lollie, well, get your tissues because it’s epically worse. This book was terrific. It was also terrifically heartbreaking in a few spots. I cried. Then when I thought things were on a happy trajectory, the author decided to smack my heart around again and smush it into the ground. I’m still battered and bruised. Thankfully I don’t mind things hurting me and I loved it, especially the ending. Sugar is every insanely tough, talented, take no-crap heroine we all want to be. It makes sense that she attracts some off the all crazies and a psycho. The steam is decent though not over the top, but the emotions and word play are everything. Let’s just say that the men make mistakes and hurt Sugar. I’m glad she doesn’t just roll over for their dumb butts. I’m so very sad that the Candy Girls series is over. That makes me want to cry too. I’m still holding out hope that we get an additional book for King.

I wish I could adequately express how much I loved this series and just how much I adore this author. I've read all her books multiple times, and I know I will continue to do so over and over again. The world she weaves, the characters we can't help but fall for, the suspense, heartbreak, love, and family is such a tangible thing in every single book, but in this one? It's all that times a thousand.

I knew Sugars book was going to be dark, especially with the tease of it we got in Lollie, but this is the darkest of the series.. and that's definitely saying something. All the pain she went through at such a young age just to rise like a phoneix from the ashes and protect others the way she was never protected? I Stan her forever. And now she has to revisit the memories she's carefully tucked away and come face to face with someone more evil than the devil himself? Oh boy. She meets her loves along the way (and although I love them all, one REALLY made me mad. Even though he made up for it.) And I love how they built her back up after she had taken hit after hit. I just loved the entire thing!

There's so much that happens, and it's just such a roller coaster of emotion. I don't have all the pretty words to convince you to read it, but just know Candice truly outdid herself, and you need to one click it now!

**I received an ARC of this book and these these my honest opinions **

While this wasn’t my favorite on the series I loved seeing Sugar finally get her happy ending though. She deserved it after everything she went through in her past and how well she took care of her girls. I liked her men, but would have liked to have seen the romance really play out with them. It was hard to feel the love they found when the romance part seemed so glossed over and rushed. That said, I still really enjoyed it. It had some steam, loved the darker characters, the plot pulled me in and the twists had my jaw dropping.. This author is one of my favorite RH authors and I can’t wait to see what she writes next. 4 stars #2OCCJD

🅼🆈 🆁🅴🆅🅸🅴🆆:

I don't even know where do I even begin. I mean I'm used to getting smacked in the face with unexpected twists and turns but this one, mind you, till the very last chapter was a secret galore.
I thought we are literally towards the end now and everything will be fine but Nope, the last secret trumped them all that came before.
I still need a minute as I'm all like 😱😱😱😱😱😳😳😳😲😲😲😱😱

It's like Ms. Wright took out the Ace while writing Sugar's story.
This one is definitely darker than the other books in the series but also much more filled with just so many of crazy turns that'll have your head spinning.

This book needs no description, trust me just dive straight into this, if you're a lover of books that keep you on your toes and love a good Suspense and Thriller ride yet want romance and lots of 𝖲𝖤𝖷𝖸INESS in it, then this is a freaking LIT package that's definitely a Must Must Read.

Sugar has been our Head Candy girl, the one who runs everything while keeping everything in order and everyone sane.
But now it's her turn to tell her story which is so painful but yet is a story of an extremely brave and courageous girl definitely made of steel and a Heart of Gold.

That first chapter itself will have you hooked completely as Sugar goes to meet a dangerous criminal who's in a High Security Mental Prison.
I didn't understand why Sugar was doing what she was doing, getting ready to get out a criminal who's been in prison for 20 years.

But that's just the beginning of our Queen Sugar masterfully orchestrating everything and moving the chess pieces so brilliantly in a game, only she knows the end game of.

Everyone else is just a side character to the story of her Vengeance and Redemption.
But what Sugar didn't count on was falling for not one but three of them HOT men who not only care for her but would go to any ends for her.

Calix, the Rough ex-prisoner, Maxim, The Bratva Pakhan and Rèmy, the most dangerous assassin along with our Sugar take us on a crazy wild adventure that starts as an unknown mystery and running from the biggest danger and turning into something much much bigger that not only saves countless lives but tells the tale of a mighty girl who single handedly takes on the prestige of Power and becomes the Queen.

Some of the spice scenes had me gulping and wide-eyed with the passion and madness but also nervous and feeling on fire at the same time.
Though, I'd say Rèmy is definitely the craziest of them all with not only how he magically appears out of nowhere but his brand of F***ing had me feeling breathless seeing as he left Sugar breathless 😂.
Maxim is freaking Hot 🔥but my favorite was Mr. Sexy Husband, Calix. 💋
If we can choose, then I'm having Calix all to myself. 😉😍

I'M ABSO-FREAKING-LUTELY IN LOVE WITH MS. WRIGHT'S WRITING. HER STORIES ARE BRILLIANCE PERSONIFIED AND FILLED WITH WILD AWESOMENESS.
I'd fallen madly in love with her other books Coerce and (Especially) Compel and now I'm coming back for more and more as she's become one of my top favorite authors now.
ABSO-FREAKING-LUTELY LOVED FREAKING LOVED LOVED THIS ONE. ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Sugar's story just about broke me. The fearless leader of the Candy Shop finally gets her story. I outright sobbed while reading this one, the story was so heartbreaking, but it forged the woman she became. Sugar has so much backstory, and we learn who she truly is. Her life hasn't been easy. Fire has forged her and made her the fierce leader of the Candy Shop. I adore her and wish I could have hugged her while her story unfolded, held her while she poured out her ugly truths, and rose like a phoenix from the ashes.

Sugar is bold, strong, and sassy as can be. She doesn't take crap from anyone and can dish it out like the big boys. Who says being beautiful means you can't have brains all wrapped up in a delicate package? Sugar has all of this in spades. Her past has always haunted her; now, she has to lay it all to rest before it buries her alive. Through her machinations, she sets a plan in motion to right the wrongs of her past and get revenge against those who used her femininity against her. She has always been a champion for those who were made victims, survivors in their own right. Now it is her turn to flip the tables, to use her strengths to make those who hurt her pay for their crimes. To do this, she will need help. She will use Calix, an ex-con she marries, for his connections within the Greek syndicate. Along the way, Maxim, the Russian pakhan, removes her from her husband's care, and he forces her to play the part of his girlfriend to be a spy and track down a mole in his Bratva. Add in a French assassin named Rémy, and suddenly, Sugar has more men on her hands and in her bed than she needs or wants. None of them are sweet; they are more or less violent in their need to possess her for themselves. As Sugar tries to get the revenge she needs, each man plays a part, whether good or bad. What she isn't counting on is that all three men want to lay claim to her, first on their own and then together. As the danger surrounding them grows, their lives are more dangerous than when they were separated. It's anyone's guess if they will make it out alive, and if the sparks they strike off each other will ignite something more potent than lust.

I couldn't have asked for a better finale for this series. Each book has built up to a powerful conclusion, and Sugar's story blew me out of the water. These characters have come to life on the pages, in my mind, and in my heart.

"To live. Live wild, live free, live without limits because you know better than anyone that tomorrow is not guaranteed."

I am absolutely speechless after reading this book! I knew at the end of Lollie's book that Sugar had had a hard life, but the things that she went through and the things she had to do just broke my heart. Her story will pull on your heart and have you hoping that she is able to get all the vengeance she deserves! Obviously, I loved Sugar's character and was so excited to see, not just the Candy Girls, in this book but also some of my favorite men from the Underestimated Series. That series is one of my all time favorite series, so I am always excited to get cameos of them.

Sugar's guys are all dangerous and don't seem to fit at all. As I was reading, I kept thinking there was no way this was going to work out for Sugar to end up with her own harem but somehow they make it work. I love Calix, Remy, and Maxim. They are perfect for Sugar! They are supportive when needed but aren't afraid to take control.

This book was my favorite book in this series because Sugar's story was absolutely amazing! It is heartbreaking, but there are so many twists that I couldn't put the book down. Towards the end of the book, I almost through my iPad with everything being revealed; I was completely shocked. Candice Wright shows that she is truly a genius with this book and I can't wait for more books from her.

***This book needs to be given way more than 5 stars in my opinion***

I cant tell you how bittersweet writing this review was. I was dying to get my hands on Sugar's (FMC) book but now that Ive read it and its then i realised that this is the last book in the Candy Shop series. That just makes me sad that its finished now. Ive loved this series so much and all of the characters in them. They weren't all sweetness (regardless of the name) and light but with all of the darkness that surrounded them they had made their own family even if they weren't related. That's what made these books for me.

In this one Sugar goes back to where it all started for her. Reliving her past by digging ghosts that she's been trying to escape from and tying up loose ends in spectacular fashion. She's been so tough and tight-lipped throughout the other books in this series so this showed all of her backstory and how she came to be who she is now. Some which was a bit difficult to read Ill be honest but it was needed i think. It explained a lot. All of which was mixed in with plenty of steam and Sugar's own brand of wit & sarcasm.

I cant praise this book and this series up enough but what a way to go out. So bloody good!!!

Review

Another fantastic addition to the Candy Shop series by Candice. Candice did a phenomenal job with Sugars story making it a tad bit darker than the others and with lovers to enemies and enemies to lovers themes. Sugar is a bit unhinged and will have more than one guy winning her over.

Sugar is the Original Candy Shop girl and the epitome of a femme fatale. On a mission of epic proportions to save as many ill-fated people as possible she suddenly finds herself fighting for her own life. Surrounded by lies, betrayal, secrets, danger and destruction it all leads her to the one place where the monsters are….home. Can she survive what’s in store for her. Sugar’s story is definitely one you will want to read. Calix, Remy and Maxim are not what you’d expect for Sugar but they each offer her something she needs and the chemistry between her and each of these men is intense and just works for her in every way.

This book will definitely have you on the edge of your seat, it’s emotional, heartbreaking, full of danger, action, suspense and shocking revelations. A definite must read. Am seriously looking forward to more books by Candice. I highly recommend everything she writes especially this entire series.

Strong and Surviving Sugar!
*Reverse harem
*contemporary
*FMC-POV only
*triggers
*story of survival
*building harem (3)
*fast burn 🔥
There’s a lot to unpack in this book, it’s fast paced from the very start and keeps it up throughout the whole book! We knew Sugars story was going to be an emotional one with what she revealed in Lollie and it’s certainly a harrowing story but one of survival 💪🏻💪🏻
A past she thought well and truly buried has cropped back up and she knows if she ever wants more from her life she needs to destroy it once and for all 😬 this is both in terms of the devil figure of her life but also the secrets she’s holding onto!!
Her journey causes her to seek out her enemies brother the hardened Callix; she’s shipped to Russian Bratva leader who has a softer side; and then her fun buddy who might just have developed an obsession 🥰 I really liked the mix of guys however didn’t really get to know much of Remy other than his assassin nature compared to the other two for me - loved Maxim though!
The storyline is gripping with twists and shocks that I certainly did not se coming! 🙈

Great ending to series!

Sugar is the fourth and final book of The Candy Shop series of interconnected standalones. I have been waiting for Sugar’s story and it did not disappoint! And I devoured this book! Poor Sugar! I knew her story was going to be rough but I wasn’t prepared! There were so many twists packed in and when I thought I had something figured out, I was proved wrong! Sugar is definitely one tough woman but also had moment of vulnerability. And each of her men were perfect for her in different ways. I knew the second Calix was mentioned that he would be my favorite! He is psycho but has a softer side when it comes to Sugar. Remy is a psycho assassin, but he isn’t as soft with her…and she likes him that way. And then we have Maxim, who is the head of the Bratva and is possessive of Sugar but also knows she can handle herself. I’m glad to see the Candy Shop girls all get their happily ever afters, but I’m sad the series is over. The good thing though is that Candice likes to have characters of her others series pop up every once in a while in her new ones so I’m sure we will see more of them. Thank you Candice for another amazing read!

This is the last book in the series and I knew Sugar was going to be an amazing story. Candice didn’t disappoint in the slightest. Sugar had what could be described as one of the hardest paths in life out of anyone. But she dug and clawed her way up to where she was in life. But the past has a way of coming back and biting you in the worst ways. And did that ever happen to Sugar. Sugar is such a strong character and has been that way throughout the series. What I loved seeing was her softer and vulnerable side. Even the most fierce women have soft spots and that is OK! Sugar allowed all of us to see that. And her men….well they were worthy of her and proved that over and over again. Not all is as it seems with Sugar and there are secrets that won’t be discovered until the very end. But that is true Candice fashion with her stories. I hope we get to see the Candy Shop girls in the future. This is a series I highly recommend over and over!

I’m awestruck at the talent and the way Candice crafts her words into worlds that feel like they are a breathe away from mine, with characters that feel like family that lives in another city, that you may only see once or twice a year, but their experiences are yours too. That is a rare and amazing talent.

I’ve been reading her stories since day one, and each book blows me away. It’s doesn’t matter the genre or the series, they are just amazing.

Sugars story is no different but for me , at about the 74% mark, I lost the ability to see and was covered in goosebumps, from the way those words brought chills straight to my bones, while tears streamed down my face! The queen of the plot twist strikes again! I only hope there is more to come as it would be devastating for The Candy Shop to come to a close!

Ah Sugar, the finale to this Candy Shop world. With her rollercoaster of a story and rollercoaster of a love life I don’t know how she got through a day😅
but reading her story and how heartbreaking almost everything in her life has been things start to click into place and you see why she ticks the way she does👀 there are just some bombshells you just don’t see coming!!
With an assassin, a mafia man and a bratva boss constantly throwing her off with a do they don’t they Sugar goes for the jugular on the people that wronged her but will she come out unscathed??
I mean at points even I was unsure whether or not she would survive but in true Candy Girl fashion she showed them all who was boss! This might be my favourite in the series and I LOVED the little cameos from Candices other works that popped through!

Honestly I was loving this book until the end…64% through the book and that’s when it started to go downhill. I didn’t mind the one twist with the guys but I could see merit to the story and that angle but then they got mad at her and though she was reluctant she still just accepted it? Nah Sugar would never accept being treated the way she was and there was not enough time or any actual accountability or apologies for her to have forgiven the way she did. But still I can move past that. But the sister twist? That was almost like Kings resurrection twist in the previous series. It was a twist that made really little to no sense, it felt like it cheapened the entire experience of the book and its characters. It really was a twist that didn’t add to the story, rather it hindered it. I really was loving this book but the end just annoyed me so much that I can’t.

I wasn’t a fan of how unnecessarily dark this book turned out. I liked it when it was just Sugar and Calix, but everything went downhill when Rémy showed up.

I lost count of the dub-con scenes that bordered on rape. The situation with the men was awful - they solved all their problems with sex, and it wasn’t okay. At least the FMC acknowledged the toxicity of their relationship.

Meanwhile, she was suicidal. What the fuck. And then there was a child’s death by suicide on top of it.

I also lost count of how many times FMC was drugged and abducted. She was supposed to be this formidable badass, yet she kept getting blindsided.

Then the twist about her identity made zero sense. This book really disappointed me and left a bad aftertaste.

This was unfortunately my least favourite of the series. It just didn't have the level of detail I would have liked to have seen given to the guys, getting to know them and their developing relationship with Sugar. Remy seemed almost shoe horned in. I loved the angle of the marriage of convenience and the kidnapped by the pachan but it wasn't given the time It warranted.

The storyline whilst enjoyable didn't leave me feeling that Sugar was a bad a** like the other girls. More that she had to be rescued or have a guy standing behind her.

I would have also liked more detail on her past and how she ended up forming the Candy girls it was touched upon but again not in great detail.

This is still an enjoyable stand alone RH and who doesn't want to read Sugars story after reading the Candy girls. My expectations were high for this one and it just fell short of being a five star read for me.

This is the fourth and final book in this incredible series, and this is Sugar’s journey. Sugar has endured so much in her life, and she is cool, calm, and a collected femme fatale, who has made it her mission to save as many ill-fated people as she can, and she deserves some happiness in her life. This is a well written story which is dark, raw, gritty ,and intense, which is action packed, with revenge, justice, secrets, enemies / lovers, mystery, suspense, danger, intrigue, survival, redemption, twists, and love, which leads to a thrilling and addictive page turner.
I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

Sugar was such a great ending. It was full of twists and turns, action, and emotions. I loved Sugar. She was so different from the other Candy Shop girls but she was still amazing. Her story broke my heart and her strength was amazing. The guys were all pretty great too. I loved their protectiveness and dedication to Sugar. This was a great closing and I cannot wait for more by Candice Wright.

Holy wowza guacamole what an ending

Ok I'm not sure if this was the end of the Candy series for now but if it was, it was like the Marvel movies version of endings.... Nonstop total crazy thrill ride with some insane twists thrown in. This book was jaw dropping incredible. I will say there is some dubious consent within the harem but it was done in a way that I found to be really hot which may be totally messed up but Candice Wright knows how to make you love the villains.

Read this book, especially if you have read the others, you absolutely cannot miss Sugar's story.

such an emotional rollercoaster.

I knew this book was going to test my feelings, and boy did it! Sugar’s story broke my heart, but proves just what a baddy she is. Along with getting her revenge she grabs the attention of three guys that will not let her slip away. The book wrapped so many questions about Sugar and the start of The Candy Girls. While it put me through an emotional rollercoaster, it also made this series feel complete. I really do hope we get more from these characters and world in the future. TW/18+

I just knew that this was going to be one wild ride of an emotional rollercoaster with all the twists and turns and the many secrets that went back 20 year's ago and dare I say that plot twist Candice just so happened to throw in there not once but 2 times and you definitely won't see them coming😏. Well played👏🏼This book was just so good no wonder it was saved for last. I have to say this is probably my favorite of the 4, but then why choose😂 just like I couldn't choose Remy and his psycho self, Calix always so serious, Maxim the romantic, but they're all possessive, touch her you die.

A huge OMG!!!! 5stars x2

This author has never e disappointed. I was so glad the Candy girls got their story!!!! If you have never read her Underestimated MC series and the spin offs, then you should. She builds a world of strong heroes, heroines, and nasty villains. The world she created & the characters are a chefs 💋. I loved every book, so much I even have them an audio. I will re read and listen often. Sad because I fear it might be the last time I hear from some characters I’ve grown to love and hate!!!

This had some plot twists I wasn’t expecting. I borrowed this book a long time ago and just couldn’t get into it, but I picked it back up a couple of days ago and blitzed through it. I enjoyed it, Sugar annoyed me a little, she fought against love for the majority of the story even though it was something she craved. I think that was what threw me the most about this one. But in the end I did enjoy the story and the characters. I loved this authors books before and I’m definitely glad I’m in her world again. I’ll be checking out what new books she has out now.

I really enjoyed every book in this series, but I had a feeling Sugar’s book would be my favorite and I was not wrong. This was definitely the darkest of the Candy Shop books though so keep that in mind before you jump in.

There was so much excitement happening in this story and a major plot twist that I definitely did not see coming. I also loved that we got a lot of fun cameo’s from Wright’s other books along the way to help Sugar on her journey.

Honestly my only complaint is that I wish there was more! I could absolutely read more than one book of Sugar and her guys (especially Calix 🥵). This series has been such a joy to read!

Stunning!

The warning was right this is darker than the previous Candy Shop stories. However, this is like dark chocolate a little bit bitter and a little bite but overall sweet. Sugar is beyond amazing not only what she came from but what she chose to build. Her guys support her even if it is like rocky road ice cream: dark, sweet, a little nuts, with just the right amount of gooey marshmallows.
