It's not every day you find a naked, angry man in your basement…

Edme Ward is a woman with a problem—or three. She’s the not-quite-official guardian of a portal to Hell, the diva-wrangling stage manager of a community theatre group, and —most recently— host to a sexy, angry Hell Prince who she’s accidentally summoned from the underworld.

For the seven Hell Princes, war is a way of life. But when the balance between Heaven, Earth, and Hell is unexpectedly skewed, it threatens to destroy the ancient hierarchy forever. Asmodeus, guardian of Lust, is locked in a battle with eternal foe and fellow Hell Prince, Wrath, — but this time, Wrath is out to destroy his domain and banish Asmodeus forever.

It’s an inconvenient time to end up in some woman’s very earthly basement.

Drawn to Asmodeus, Edme risks losing her heart to a being who is the very definition of lust. While Asmodeus must overcome his desire to punish the all-too-human Edme—and accept her help.

As the Hell Princes lose their grip on their domains, the end of days looms. With existence itself teetering on the edge of annihilation, Asmodeus and Edme must turn enemies into allies to defeat a hidden foe.

And the secrets they unlock will either save everything or end the world as we know it (probably on a Wednesday)...

Lust is the first book in the Hell Bound series by Sarah Hegger. Filled with snark, steam, and sexy underworld princes, fans of Buffy and Lucifer will love succumbing to the charms of the Hell Bound.

Born British and raised in South Africa, Sarah Hegger suffers from an incurable case of wanderlust. Her match? A hot Canadian engineer, whose marriage proposal she accepted six short weeks after they first met. Together they’ve made homes in seven different cities across three different continents (and back again once or twice). If only it made her multilingual, but the best she can manage is idiosyncratic English, fluent Afrikaans, conversant Russian, pigeon Portuguese, even worse Zulu and enough French to get herself into trouble.

Mimicking her globe trotting adventures, Sarah’s career path began as a gainfully employed actress, drifted into public relations, settled a moment in advertising, and eventually took root in the fertile soil of her first love, writing. She also moonlights as a wife and mother.

She currently lives in Draper, Utah, with her teenage daughters, two Golden Retrievers and aforementioned husband. Part footloose buccaneer, part quixotic observer of life, Sarah’s restless heart is most content when reading or writing books.

Great start for Hellbound

This is actually a re-read in preparation for the next ones but I have thoroughly enjoyed it again. A slow developing relationship between Eddie and Shade is charming. A nice relationship between her and Wrath too.

I want to say so much about Lust, but I don't want to give away too much.

Lust is an exciting adventure for our girl Edme, aka Eddie. There's plenty of spice, but it's more a spicy slow burn.

Lust is an intersection take on demons, h3ll, angels, and humans. And to think it all starts with an unwanted production of the Scottish play by a local theater group.

It does end on a cliffhanger, and I am so looking forward to the next book, Wrath!

Great story, very compelling writing, so sad when I finished it. Can't wait for the follow-up, Wrath. Counting the days!
