日本語で読みました（多分、英語にまだ翻訳してないと思います）。

Enjoyed this novel. Listening to it as an audiobook was a little bit of a struggle at times due to the mystery elements (which are always tricky for me in Japanese novels as they involve misdirection, details, etc.) but the scenes with the protagonist and the new friends he makes after moving from Tokyo to "Hayabusa" (a fictional town in the Japanese countryside) through joining a volunteer fire brigade (they seem to spend most of their time together drinking...) were wonderful.

田舎によくあるしがらみや濃い人間関係から思いもよらない事件へと発展していく。
とてもテンポのいい展開で一気に聴了。
ハヤブサ地区の人間関係、相関図を思い描きながら聴きました。個性豊かな登場人物でハヤブサ地区の住民になった気分でした。

Enjoyed it on audible. The story was easy to follow with simple and familiar Japanese names and the narrator of the book was fascinating.
