Welcome to the town of Grand Ridge where wealth and status are everything, what number you are determines where you are in the hierarchy and the rights and privileges one is entitled too.
Aila made a promise to her mother, one she intends to fulfil, she is determined to graduate, she just has to make it through the school year unscathed.
We meet Darwin, Apollo, Riggs and Forrest. They own who they are, and they intend to welcome Aila in more ways than one, and a welcome she will never forget.
But what they don’t realise is that Aila is her own person, she will not get in line for them, even when they offer her a lifeline, she refuses. To say they are shocked is an understatement.
Aila is not prepared for the lengths they will go to make her acquiesce, pushing her to her limits. She shows so much strength and determination, she’s fiery, sassy and gives them attitude to boot.
Darwin, Apollo, Riggs and Forrest have never gone up against someone like Aila, not without question or challenge. They give and she takes, neither of the backing down, a game of cat and mouse. Their feelings towards her begin to change, igniting something inside of them, something they thought they would ever feel.
Aila reaches breaking point. And some of the guys feel her pain more than the others. We also get to see the other side of Darwin, Apollo, Riggs and Forrest. What makes them who they are, the one thing that tethers them not make their lives more bearable, what united them to become a tight knit brotherhood.
But there are those behind the scenes, the puppeteers pulling the puppets strings, and if Darwin, Apollo, Riggs and Forrest play there cards right they will be able to learn a whole lot more, but doing some comes with the expectations of there families and the names attached to them.
But what they are not at all prepared for is the reality of when truths begin to emerge that they begin to question who and what they know, there own families machinations and the lengths they will go to make sure that there best kept secrets remain close to the vest, but the truth always has a way of finding its way to the people who least expect it and the result is consequences that will ultimately result in a fallout of massive proportions.
This story is told from multiple POV, we get to see the characters through there strengths and weaknesses, what we see and feel shapes these characters, giving readers insight to who they are flaws and all, that they are in fact humans who all feel but handle what happened to them differently.
Their story will take you on a wild ride, having you turn page after page, this book had me from the beginning to the end. Reading this story, it enables the readers to really connect with the characters. The author knows how to write, and I will be coming back for more.
This book has it all slow burn why choose romance, possessive dominant alpha males, a fiery heroine who gives a good as she gets, touch her and die vibes, family and friend dynamics, madness, mayhem, revenge, vengeance, violence, defiance, manipulation, adrenaline seeking suspense, jealousy, twists, truths and betrayal.
The tension between them was undeniable, the friction burning hot between. The way they alluded to what they wanted to do to her, was down right panty melting. The aspects of there relationship running hot and cold, she can’t keep up with them, giving her whiplash.
But those s*x scenes were blazing hot, downright dirty and physical, it had all the pleasure and passion one would expect when Apollo, Riggs and Forrest showing Aila that they will be the only men that she will ever need, for they will always gets what they want, giving Aila the pain and pleasure, she deserves, there possessiveness and obsessive need for control and dominance, there foreplay it was off the charts and had all of the feels.
Here’s to anticipating the next part of their story!
Highly recommend both author and book!
