Raising Cain #4

Binding Love

Rate this book
When Cooper McCain’s past lovers show up in Chaos, Texas, in order to rekindle an old romance, Cooper knows he’s in trouble. He’s worked hard to put both Mallory Johanson and Liam Jacoby behind him. The memories surrounding their past relationship have left him feeling bitter and afraid of trying again.

Letting go of heartbreak is a hard thing to do. Nearly as intimidating is knowing that to do so means coming out of the closet to those closest to him.

Is love reason enough to forget past hurts, to move forward in a relationship that has the ability to make the three of them very happy? Is Cooper willing to risk everything in order to find out?

Maggie Casper's life could be called many things but boring isn't one of them. If asked, Maggie would tell you that blessed would more aptly describe her everyday existence.

Being loved by four gorgeous daughters should be enough to make anybody feel blessed. Add to that a bit of challenge, a lot of fun and an undeniably close circle of friends and family and you'd be walking in her shoes.

A love of reading was passed on by Maggie's mother at a very early age, and so began her addiction to romance novels. Maggie admits to writing some in high school but when life got in the way, she put her pen and paper up. Seems that things changed over the years because when she finally decided it was time to put her story ideas on paper, the pen was out and the computer was in. Took her a while to catch up but she finally made it.

When not writing, Maggie can usually be found reading, doing genealogy research or watching NASCAR.

I had been waiting for Cooper's book, but I just didn't like this... I feel so let down with this one. I never really found much to like about Liam, and the Dom stuff (IMHO) just seemed silly (Doms always seem silly or like women-haters to me). Mallory was ok as the h, likeable, a little bit sassy, very caring.

We never really got to see the relationship these people might have had, because when they were together, practically all that happened was smex! 15 pages, 20 pages, 25 pages of ROUGH stuff... after the first time or two, I am always clicking through it anyway for the conversation parts (how much repetition can anyone stand after all?) and I was worried I was going to break my Kindle there near the end.

Maggie Casper is a good writer and I have quite a few of her books, but I really wanted a nice menage from these three, not the Dom stuff, and not 25 page sex scenes. Unless you have read the previous books in this series, I don't recommend this unless you get it as a freebie.
