You are missing out if you haven't read this series. This is the 2nd book in the Deep Space Mission Corps series. I wasn't sure what to expect when I read the first one. I don't read too many sci-fi genre books. But I absolutely love Tymber Dalton and have been moved to tears many times in her books. So I gave it a chance. I really enjoyed the first book. The storyline was tight. Every detail was important. The love between these characters was powerful and palpable. The back stories of each character were explained in great detail; all very significant to the overall message in the book. And the unexpected twist was just the icing on the cake.

Well, this story seamlessly picks right up where the first one left off. The story of Emi and her hunky men who she loves with all her heart. Their lives continue as they go on a Mission to investigate an unknown disease. This story is closely tied in to the first book. The author just makes it much richer with additional characters and new relationships and new possibilities. I can't give too many details about what happens because you pretty much HAVE to read the first one to really enjoy the depth of this story. Lots of emotional conflict, as well as tons of space lovin!! Don't miss it!!

Where's the sex?? All kidding aside, this was a nice follow up to Love at first Bight. This book was a bit tamer and the plot line was kind of predictable. I know; I tend to use the predictable description in many of my reviews. There is nothing wrong with predictable. The book was still written well and the story unfolded with a bit of suspense dashed with sex and medical science. I do recommend the book for a fun read. This book moved at a nice pace.

Monica’s Review

Bightmares by Tymber Dalton is a book based in the future in outer space. The different scenes of this book take place in earth as well as on Mars where there is now civilization and wonderful things happening. In a journey that will cause more pain to the crew Aaron, Caph, and Ford, after losing their beloved one, was very difficult. Dalton explains how hard it was for them to deal with the emotional trauma and still suffering from it even though they found a new wife, Emilia.

Their love and marriage will be tested during their first mission together. Together they will endure pain, passion and happiness due to the men's past love, but most of all the thought of losing another. Emilia is put through the test of trying to find a cure for her dying husband. Dalton created these characters in a sense that each one has their own way of forming this bond to each other and how they become one. Aaron is the captain, the leader. Ford is the strong one for both Aaron and Caph, and Caph is the one that is more fragile to his emotions, and if exposed to the truth, it will kill him. They balance each other so well after being together for nearly 20 years. Emilia has grown fond of her husbands and she will do whatever it takes to protect each and every one of them.

Will she be able to sustain her test in trying to find the cure before it is too late for Aaron? Will Aaron finally confide in her his true feelings about what happened in the past with their first love? Having secrets does not work out in a relationship—they come back to haunt you no matter what. This is something that Tymber Dalton explains in this book: don't hide your feelings because they will not leave you alone until you expose them. I recommend this book to readers that love to see what the future may hold and where we might be, along with the emotions of being true to yourself.

A continuation of Tymber Dalton's Deep Space Mission Corp series and the experiences of Emilia and her now three husbands. That they committed to each other for life made it better for me, but I am not sure that this is really the best of Ms Dalton's writing. Some of her other novels seem more in-depth to me, but then I am not a huge futuristic fiction fan. I didn't think the plot and story line were her best either, but having said that, I felt that Emilia grew as a person and developed some true maturity because of her involvement with these flawed by delightful men, all of whom were committed to one another before she came into their lives and who opened their hearts to her fully. Their love gave her the stability to become better than she thought she could ever be, and the possibility of losing one of them along with the hatred that threatened the population of an entire planet brought out her best qualities as a health professional and as a person.

Book #2 in Tymber Dalton's Space Corps series is just as satisfying as the first. Where Love at First Bight focused on the start of the quartet's menage relationship and had a fair amount of booty time, Bightmares delves into the lingering grief the crew, and Aaron in particular, still suffer from the loss of their Kelsey so many years ago. There's still playtime, don't get me wrong, but it's less frantic and more loving. The action is good and the plot was well-crafted. I didn't feel overwhelmed by space-terms (which is always a concern with SciFi books), or even the medical lingo used.

I enjoyed getting to see the crews of the Kendall Kant and the Braynow Gaston, and was glad to see they'd matured a bit, bringing much more amiable personalities to the pages than the first time around.

If you liked Love At First Bight for it's menage dynamic, you'll like Bightmares. I don't recommend reading this one first though, as it contains spoilers for the (pretty awesome) twist at the end of the first book, and you're going to kick yourself if you find out the end of LAFB before you read it! =)

Bightmares continues the story of the characters we met in Love at First Bight. Everyone is settling into their roles, both on the ship and with each other. They get called out to handle a distress signal and end up fighting to keep their lives!

There’s a very nice tie-in to the first novel with this story. We only got snippets of life for Aaron, Caph and Ford prior to them meeting and joining with Emilia. That part of their lives is interwoven throughout this series and it adds a depth not only to the characters but to the story as well. Their lives from before Emilia continue to impact their lives together now.

There was some very nice tension in this story. I will admit I figured out one element of the problem early on. I didn’t have the full solution until the very end though. It was a very intriguing complication!

This book start straight away from last and would be harder to understand if not read with previous book. Love story and the developments with the other crews. Very enjoyable read. Small issue which are me just been picky. Emu is a doctor knows about quarantine protocols and still breaks majors one but does help story develop quickly. I won't go into to much detail and ruin story. Great ending and HEA.

Unlike the first book, we see in this one the guys have interaction in the bed, witch was very steamy.
I found that I like the writing of this author, but for this series, I think she could have one book instead of four. The action drag a lot, everything is repeated a lot, even though, as a whole, the book is good.
Not sure I will read the next books.

Before I began reading Tymber Dalton books, I didn't really care for sequels. I always wanted to move onto a new adventure. But Dalton writes great characters and makes a M/M/M/F relationship on a space ship seems authentic. While not the best I've read by Dalton, still enjoyed reading the Deep Space Mission sequel.

It's time for me to part ways with this series. Book one was ok, but this one... was not. The plot was so stupid, even for an erotic space opera and I kept rolling my eyes at it. I'd have been able to cope with it better but the sex was so bland and uninspiring. With three guys!!! Who are also into each other!!! It's criminal how bad it is LOL.

This is actually a great and fast paced book of the series that i kept on flipping through the pages just to find out what was the cause of the rage infections. And the fact that other 2 ships found their own med officers and wife i was like AAAA!!! #goawaycovid19

Star Trekking across the universe on a five year mission with three smokin’ hot men who just happen to love pleasuring you as well as each other…where do I sign up???

Tymber Dalton has written the exciting follow-up to the very tantalizing Love At First Bight. In First Bight we met the bonded mates of the Tamora Bight: Aaron, Ford and Caph. Their crew grew by one when they hired and fell in love with Dr. Emilia Hypatia. There is a super surprising twist in First Bight that I won’t reveal here but I highly suggest you read it to get the best understanding of references made in Bightmares. You honestly could read Bightmares as a stand alone but there is a lot of background regarding the both the men and Emi in book one as well as their courtship that sweetens the story.

Bightmares also brings back several familiar faces including Emi’s best friend, Donna and the crews of the Braynow Gaston and Kendall Kant. These two ships along with the Tamora Bight, join up to try and save a colony that has been stricken with an unknown virus. As the blurb suggests, Capt. Aaron Lucio of the Bight contracts the virus and it’s a race against time to find a cause as well as cure.

One of the elements of Bightmares that really impressed me is that for a Sci-Fi type book it wasn't overwhelming with the tech talk. Ms. Dalton did a beautiful job of creating the futuristic setting without making the reader feel like they needed to call the Geek Squad to understand what they were reading. While the details didn’t get overly techy I was totally drawn into the setting as well as the plot. Ms. Dalton builds the tension at a steady pace that carries the reader along on the crew’s journey to the Aroykin Colony. While the relationship between the men and Emilia was established in First Bight there’s room for growth that is clearly developed in Bightmares.

If you like a little, or a whole lot, of sci-fi with your ménage adventures, you won’t want to miss this exciting first mission of the Tamora Bight or her crew. I don’t know if there is a planned follow-up to this book since Ms. Dalton paired up the crews of the Braynow Gaston and Kendall Kant but this reviewer for one would love to read an extended version of how Donna takes the starch out the regulation loving Kendall Kant crew. I’ll definitely be watching Ms. Dalton’s works in progress list to see what she offers up next.

After reading Love at First Bight a million times, I finally decided to read this one. I was scared that the second would not live up to the first...

They cannot be compared. They are both excellent books but they are *way* different. The first book in the series was more about building the relationship, the attraction, the lust. While this one still had plenty of lusty moments, they were past the all the time humping phase. You got to see the other strengths of their relationship, which was nice.

I appreciate a fully fleshed out menage story. I have read too many that leave me wondering if the couple even liked each other or if they just wanted some ass. Dalton's stories *never* leave me with that feeling. Even if I don't connect with the characters (and less face it, you don't connect with them all), I at least understand them.

Very good book. If you liked Love at First Bight and Tymber Dalton, I would recommend it. :)

I've read the first book in this series already some time ago, but it was really easy to get back into the story. I liked this book, although the 'space' terms and stuff were sometimes difficult to imagine for me. The sex scene were hot but - as they being with four of them - sometime a bit confusing.
In this book Emily, Aaron, Caph and Ford are on a mission (for real this time) and they get to a planet where only the men are sick. And of course Emi - as being a doctor - needs to find a cure. Especially when Aaron gets sick as well... and the government wants to destroy the planet to avoid further spreading of the disease if she doesn't find an antidote. Ah well... in the end everything turns out fine and they all live HEA.
It was an entertaining read but it would never have been my first choice. It's just not my genre. And I don't feel the need to read the next book in the serie anytime soon.

I think Tymber Dalton is one of my favourite authors because she writes books with actual plots and character building and yes there is enough smut too. I loved this book because it was so fast from the beginning. There were not many pauses for flashbacks other than required. I hate it when in a series, the author keeps giving recaps. It just irritates me a lot. In this book, we got a better look at Kelsey and the crew has their first real mission in space. It was a good story about a new kind of epidemic which attacks a colony and their mission was rescue by curing or evacuating. It had enough action to keep me going and not get bored but not too much, which just makes me skip pages. So now I am off to reading the next installment.

Great continuation of "Love at First Bight". We get to catch up with Eli and her guys Aaron, Ford and Caph as they leave Earth and head for Mars. They get sent on a rescue mission along with the other 2 ships Eli interviewed for (kinda handy).

They deal with some heavy issues here like Kel's death and Aaron makes some great strides in dealing with his guilt.

We can't forget the awesome sex scenes as well....hooooweeee.
