Hell Hounds MC #6
Knives and Knuckledusters
There's a darkness - a guilt that gnaws at my soul, reminding me with every whooshing pump of blood that flows through my veins that I alone am responsible for his death. I alone stole a life - a good life. No good deed goes unpunished, and this never-ending suffocating guilt is mine, only now I'm forced to endure that guilt under the scrutiny of the Club - of his people. But there are secrets to be uncovered here - my own lies need to be protected, and while no one will ever be him , friendship and benefits seem more and more appealing with each passing day, reminding me that I'm more than just my blade and the guilt that its weighted with. I am no longer the uncertain girl who found her salvation in the form of Gunner Priest, no, I'm now the first female prospect at the London Charter and their unofficial knife for hire. The Hell Hounds finale sees the forging of a new era, that long-awaited happily ever after for Nicci, and the closing chapter as the Club pulls together for one final showdown.

Reading this book, I was full of emotions. I could totally relate to Nicci and what she was going through. She experienced sorrow, rage, love and found a family for life. From the first chapter I almost cried at the mention of "Gunner". Oh, Nicci, girl.
Nicci is not the same girl from Guns and Gags. In fact, I would call her a woman. She is a killer. Yet, at the same time there were moments when Gunner's Nicci did slip out. I loved the dynamics between Nicci, Paige, and Spyro. It was a "raw" connection that they all shared together.
I loved these lines spoken by Paige about Nicci:
"She was cherries and dark rum - the kind of taste you could get drunk off of - the kind of woman you could become addicted to."
"I wanted to taste her, lick her, devour her."
One last thing. There is a character that is briefly mentioned in this book who we share the same first name including the spelling. Erin, intentional or not I love this, even if the character is a villain. Sad to see this series come to an end but Erin did all the characters justice. A fitting ending.

Knives and Knuckledusters simultaneously brought me to tears and got my pulse racing! This second part of Nicci’s story, and the conclusion of the Hell Hounds MC Series, wraps everything up with a bow as everyone gets their HEA. And, boy, did Nicci deserve her HEA after what she went through in Guns and Gags.
I absolutely lost it as Nicci was mourning Gunner’s death and the role she played at his end. The way she buried her sorrow in blood, wearing a mask of indifference, made my heart ache for her. I loved watching her soften as she released into Spyro and Paige’s arms, giving in and learning to live through her guilt.
Paige was an amazing character; I would have loved to see more of her, the woman healing from years of abuse at the hands of sex traffickers. She was a dichotomy of strength and pliability. As the story progressed, as the layers were pulled away, I became more enamored with her. She was the perfect counterpoint to Nicci’s rough edges.
I would have liked more relationship-building between the characters; it seemed half-formed, still in the nascent stages of physical attraction and general interest. Nicci’s connection with Gunner was significantly stronger than the connections she had formed with Paige and Spyro, so while it was romantic that she would be willing to sacrifice herself to protect them, it didn’t feel like their relationship had quite reached that level yet. This doesn’t detract from their intense chemistry, and I could see them building a strong relationship given more time. All were willing to claim the others as theirs.
Fast burn and full of steam, this book has explicit first-time FF, MF, and FFM scenes that will get your blood pumping.
That Nicci got her HEA is what matters most. She is no longer alone, fulfilling the dying wishes of her first love, Gunner.
Genre: Contemporary MC Romance
Tropes/Features: Dark, MC, Grieving FMC (Depression, mourning, withdrawal), Violent/unaliving FMC, Single Father MMC, FMC healing from abuse, first-time FF, chosen family
Narrator: Multi 1st Person POV
Relationship Type: Menage FFM, fast burn, high heat
Book Type/Ending: Final book in series, second book in Nicci’s arc (could be read as standalone), HEA for throuple and all relationships in series
TW/CW: See author’s note at beginning of book

Knives and Knuckledusters by Leslie Luckie was a long awaited, phenomenal ending to the Hell Hounds MC series!
This fast-paced, emotional series finale brought me to tears while also keeping me hooked! I would have loved a deeper connection between the three, but each chapter and each new twist had me on the edge of my seat. I loved Nicci’s character so much and she was so relatable. I absolutely hated what she went through and I’m glad she got her HEA.

Finally a HEA for Nicci
Did I cry in every chapter? Yes.
Did I want more? Also yes.
All the stages of grief are explored with a backdrop of darkness of a MC at war. But love and hope provide a light to follow.
Don't worry, it isn't all mushy feelings...lots of happy fun time for these three (yes, I said 3). And also the dark and twisty you expect from a motorcycle club.

I thought that Erin could never destroy me like she did with Güńs and Gags but I was wrong. This was just as emotional.
Nicci harbors a huge amount of guilt and her depress!0n can only be temporarily lifted by being a “kn!fe for hire”. She goes through the stages of grief and Erin wrote it beautifully.
So many emotions in this book. I laughed, of course I cried, I smiled, I got flustered 🥵
The relationship Nicci ends up having with Spyro and Paige is passionate, caring, they accept her for who she is. Nicci proves she is smart and worthy and I loved this book so much!

I'm not ready to say goodbye to these characters!
Knives and knuckledusters picks up after Guns & Gags while Nicci is navigating her grief from the loss of Gunner. She is forced to live at Cole's club, and she isn't happy about it. In walk Paige and Spyro. What blossoms between the three is beautiful and ultimately leads to a climax of fear and grief resurfacing. We get to see all of our favorite characters get their happily ever after, but I don't want to say goodbye. I want more Hell Hounds. This one really tugs at your heartstrings, and now that the series is over, I believe I am due for a reread.

Fav Series
I have loved this series since reading the very first book. Erin has taken us on a action packed, sometimes emotional and somewhat spicy ride with the members of The Hellhounds MC. Each book has a different couple and trope but the thing about Erin's writing is the story is completely character driven and the writing is effortless.
Guns and Gags was my absolute favourite book of the series so I was glad to see Nicci finally get her HEA.

🔥🔥🔥- I’ve been waiting for this. GAG’s completely destroyed me, and this one stitched me back together! I loved seeing Nicci again, her grieving process from beginning to end was written so beautifully. I was worried it would feel like Gunner was being replaced or she was trying to forget him, but that’s not it is at ALL 🫶🏻 couldn’t have asked for a better HFN for Nicci and her club!

*I received an ARC for an honest review*
Wow!! This is my first book of Erin's that I've read, and her writing style is amazing! I can't wait until I can catch up on the previous books in this series.
Spyro, Nicci, and Paige were written so well and fleshed out beautifully. I'm hoping their story is continued somehow in the future. The spice in this book is *chefs kiss*.
Thank you, Erin, for the chance to read this gem!! 🖤

If you’ve been following along with my reviews, tweets or anything about my reading, you know that I’ve been obsessed with Erin and her writing since she came out with Catching Cole, and the Veil trilogy. Knives and Knuckledusters is the last book in the Hell Hounds MC series that I’ve been completely devouring with every new release and I can’t believe it’s over!

What an epic conclusion to Hell Hounds series! I loved getting to see the evolution of Nicci, Spyro, and Paige. It was knucklebiting at times wondering how it all would end, but it is all worth it for the sweet surprise at the end. If you're in the fence about this book, or even the series - this is your sign - just do it! Absolutely worth it!!!!

absolutely fantastic
I love this series, as an MC series with a focus on women and them stepping up in this male dominated world.
Nikki is such a unique character, from the last book in this series we learnt she had had a shocking upbringing and then with the death of her lover Gunner her life went to pieces.
In the book we see a whole new version of Nikki, the ‘little killer’ or the ‘blades of rage and darkness’. Her skill set is highly sort after via her MC.
We see Nikki struggle with her past and finally step out of the darkness and move forward with her life. All while in the mix of the usual MC club issues, BSDM club security, war with their major enemy, torture, kidnapping - I was on the edge of my chair, completely mesmerised by the suspense of all the action.
The steamy scenes, FM and FF were hot AF 🥵 and written with such detail and emotion.
Paige really pulls at your heart strings, the horrific past trauma she has suffered is appalling.
Loved hearing how the characters from previous books are going.
I honestly couldn’t put this book down until the very last word - so glad it mentions the author will come back to the Hell Hounds MC world in the future.

Thank you so much to the author for sharing an ARC copy with me !!!
“Rage because Gunner had left. He had died. Rage that he had made me do it. Rage that I was responsible. Rage that he had been so fucking sick. Rage at the goddamn unfairness of it all.“
I am not well. I think I am happy. But I am also sad. Sad that this is over, sad about Gunner and sad about what each and everyone of these characters had to go through to get their HEA !!!!
Nicci was … wow I don’t even know how to say it. Every mention of Gunner and her struggles had me feeling gut-wrenched constantly and I cried a lot !!! The unfairness of it all was incredible but then Spyro and Paige were THE BEST ever !!!!
I don’t know how they made it work together but they are of the same steel and I loved that somehow they found their own dimension. They learned to trust, love and be vulnerable with each other and it was one of the best journey ever !!!
Paige is the sweetest. Nicci was the hottest and Spyro … he was absolutely the most daddy and possessive of them all !!!! And little Ava in the middle … I LOVED IT !!!
And it was spicy … very very spicy !!!! You get chills even trying to imagine what they do to each other !!!!
The action was exciting and the thrills I had from reading this story was more than a bit enchanting !!!
This book was absolutely amazing and I’m sure gonna be thinking about it for a long time after finishing it !!!!!
I can’t help but feeling a bit sad about the fact that it is over but honestly … you can always reread the entire series !!!

3/5 🌶️
This was such a good book. It was sad and full of grief but also hope and I really enjoyed it.
I knew Nicci would be grieving Gunners loss and for the majority of the book we saw her struggle with guilt and sadness. I wasn’t sure how Paige and Spyro were going to play into this dynamic, but I thoroughly enjoyed seeing them protect and help Nicci heal and I liked reading the way they supported her and brought her out of her sadness. I miss Nicci being a domme, but the scenes we did get were super smutty and I loved their dynamic of FFM. Niccis character development was beautiful to read about too and I loved seeing her accept her life as it is and continue to be a badaśs.
I loved the side characters we saw in this book too. Sadie and Cole’s story spoke to me in this book. As someone that’s struggling with infertility it was sad and heartbreaking to see how badly they wanted to be parents. But I LOVED how the epilogue played out.
I’m sad the hell hounds are over for now, but what a beautiful journey.

Was waiting for this one after the ending of Guns and Gags.
If you haven't read that one, you must to understand Nicci's guilt and emotional roller-coaster.
Wow Erin you managed to do it again. You manged to make me cry, laugh, shocked, love, swoon and get hot under the collar.
If you could believe it, I opened this book and closed it several times as I wasn't sure if I was ready for all the emotions coming back from last book. But so glad I did read it in the end.
This is my first F/F book. Not my kind of book but it actually wasn't bad. This was F/M/F and F/F Trope.
As expected with these books there was plenty of twists, drama and action.
It was an epic finale to the series and was perfect.
I really enjoyed reading about Nicci, Spyro and Paige's relationship and how it all developed. There was a lot of steam and written all so well.
Nicci's finally got her HEA in the best way.
Highly recommend if you love MC's, action, drama, gore, emotional roller-coaster, lots of love, MC Family and hot steamy scenes.

Okay, so I was really looking forward to reading this book - not only because it’s the conclusion of one of the best MC series I’ve ever read, but because it’s the second part of Nicci’s story. “Knives and Knuckledusters” is dark and intense as well emotional and angsty, and I loved every second of it. There are three POV characters - Nicci, Paige, and Spyro - and I enjoyed all of their POVs and personalities for different reasons. They’re all such complex characters, and I loved watching them come together to form this beautiful, intense relationship with each other. I feel like we get to know each of these characters in depth, and I was invested in both the romance and in the plot. It was such a wonderful ending for the characters and for the series… it’s a little bittersweet for me but I absolutely adored it. I highly recommend!!!

Knives and Knuckledusters by Erin McLuckie Moya is the shocking story of Nicci. She is suffering deeply from grief and her heart is aching. She’s changed. She’s stronger (and more fragile). She’s a fighter and available for hire. She struggles with her sense of self and who she was then….and who she is now. An aching, tumultuous journey. It is a slow climb from the depths of despair and there are those there to help her…but, the surprise is WHO???
This was a bit of a tough read for me…and touched on tropes that I don’t care for. But, it is well-written and deeply emotional. The characters will melt your heart and make you feel with every fiber of your being. What an emotional, heart aching story!

Book six in the Hell Hounds Mc series. Grab a tissue baby it’s gonna be a bumpy ride. After the breath of gunner. Nikki is on a road of destruction. She loves her knife. The only thing that don’t die and leave her. When the club calls her back, she’s a walking zombie. She back to look at gunner daughter and know she’s responsible for his death. Spyro hates her on sight. Not knowing the weight she’s been carrying. When Paige and Nikki go on a small field trip things get complicated. This story will have you crying and screaming but you will not put it down till the last page. Best one.

The conclusion to the cliff hanger of Guns and Gags, Knives and Knuckledusters sees the healing of Nicci after Gunner’s death.
To say Guns and Gags cut my heart up is an understatement. Knives and Knuckledusters starts the healing process, enabling Nicci to grow and find her place amongst the Hell Hounds.
Nicci’s character is richly developed, and you can’t help but feel a deep empathy for her. Spyro and Paige are equally rich, though I would have liked to know more about Spyro’s back story.
A good amount of spice in this FMF story. Beautifully written, sensual scenes between all the combinations of the main characters. This is a Dark Mc series, so expect some dark elements.

"This book is messy - it’s complicated - it’s hard - and, it’s beautiful."
This is written at the beginning of the book and it couldn't be more perfect!
We're back for another wild ride with the Hell Hounds MC and it is a tough book to read. It's emotional, intense and heartbreaking. But it's also a story about healing, growth and love. The chemistry between Spyro, Nicci and Paige is out of this world and their journey is completely consuming.

Knives and knuckledusters is the final book in the Hell Hounds series and boy oh boy did it deliver. The story follows Nicci from the previous book and how she is dealing with life after the events for the previous book. It is full of lots of raw emotion and leaves you a sobbing mess in some parts. The dynamic between Nicci, Spyro and Paige is thrilling and definitely leaves you wanting more of them. Absolutely loved this series and can not recommend it highly enough to anyone who is wanting to take a chance on something different.

This is so good. I really loved the book even though it was fast pace. I love the dynamic between the MCs. No additional drama, no jealously. Would love to see more of their dynamic in maybe an extended bonus chapter. Definitely recommend if you like these types of books.

Nicci is absolutely my favorite FMC in this series, even though I loved them all so much. I felt like I found myself in this book, and I wanted more so bad because it was so good. It handles grief and loss and healing and all the good and ugly of going through it.

There were chapters that affected me deeply. I am a reactive reader. My pillows are limp with the bashings they have taken from me when I am happy or extremely angry over the events of the books and this story is absolutely a contributor.
The slight enemies-to-lovers element is delicious. The slow burn and the first touches were shiver-inducing. Nicci has totally grown-up this time around and we see the true aftermath of the events in Guns and Gags.
My favourite part of the series was the latter half of the book. I could not decide on a single event for this book. This book has more of the workings of the London Hell Hounds and has the leading heroines of the previous books making appearances in all their goddess glory.

It’s taken me several hours to process this book
After reading the previous book Guns & Gags, a book that both destroyed & changed me as a person (yes I was warned, and didn’t take it seriously enough!) I was excitedly nervous about reading this because I couldn’t take dealing with that level of emotion again, but I needed to know more about these characters.
Wow!
I still haven’t formulated words that will do this book justice. Erin gives us plot with action, character development and spicy perfectly, but the emotions she evokes. . . I’m speechless. I cried MANY times & I’m okay with that. Heck, I’m crying writing this just THINKING about the book again.
I got the closure I needed.
Thank you Erin for this beautiful story, you should be so proud! Your writing is incredible.
(I have purposely made little reference to the plot, as this should be something you experience first hand yourself.)

Numb
This book was not what I was expecting. We finally get the conclusion we have been waiting for, only it's definitely not what I imagined for Nicci. Book 5 of the Hell Hounds MC left us in turmoil, and I really wasn't sure how the author could come back from that. She did a fantastic job and not only giving us a great book but giving it with a twist we never saw coming.
Nicci is no longer the girl she was before she met Gunnar. And now... well now, she's not even the same woman she was with Gunnar. She feels empty. Numb. Lost. But more than anything, she has become a killer. Knife for hire.
"If there was ever a moment of epiphany then this was it because whilst I had thought I was in the vicinity of someone dangerous - someone criminal when it came to Harry Po, I now felt as if Nicci and him were some sort of pack, and I had somehow been marked as prey. Because the woman before me was pure danger. Nothing good could come from that dismissive look in her eyes. And when she finally spoke, I realized how truly F'ed we all were."
This book is full of emotions and about Nicci finding herself after everything she has endured. Only before she finds herself, she enters all the crazy stages of grief and no one on her path is safe. Her relationships with both Paige and Spyro eventually change her outlook. A second chance to feel alive.
"She was cherries and dark rum - the kind of taste you could get drunk off of - the kind of woman you could become addicted to."
While the emotions in this book roll you over and spit you out. It does have steam much like the rest of the Hell Hounds MC books you don't want to miss. It's filled with brutal action against The Rats and we get a trope unlike we've had before. We continue with other characters that we have also grown to love, but best of all, Nicci finally gets a place to belong. The ending this amazing character deserves!
*Overall 4/5
*Heat? 4/5
*Multiple first person POV
*FFM Relationship ;-)
*Ends in HEA

4/5 ⭐
3/5 🌶️
I can't believe this is the end of the He-ll Hounds (for now?) but what a way to go. Guns and Gags was such a heartbreaking story, I knew that Knives and Knuckledusters was going to be really centered on Nicci's grief and I was not wrong. But we also saw a lot of Cole and Sadie's grief surrounding their desire to have babies and then Paige and Spyro's in a smaller sense as well. It turned out to be a very beautiful story and I really loved it.
Nicci is just so broken after Gunnar's death... She turned to her bike and her knives for a few months which really put her on the outs with the He-ll Hounds too. When she's dragged back to the London chapter she ends up finding some sparks with Paige and with Spyro, which, while healing, brought on some guilt too.
I really enjoyed these three together, I don't think any of them as pairs would have really worked, but them as a triad brought together everything they needed to heal and be whole. Throw in Ava, Spryo's little girl, and these four made the sweetest, wildest family together. I was a little sad Nicci's Domme went back into hiding, but when she peeked out occasionally it was great.
The war with the Rats was a great plotline for this story too. Caused a little forced proximity and added a lot of suspense and action to it. The end was pretty wild and I both loved and hated Spryo's heroics.... But it all ended up with a HEA, even for Cole and Sadie in the epilogue, which I really, really loved. Erin hinted that it's not completely over for the HHs, just over for now and for that I'm pretty excited. I can't wait for more.

This is such an epic conclusion in so many ways, not only is it the end of the series, it’s the second part of Nicci’s duet and boy does it bring the heat. I felt all the things when reading this and it was so great to see more of Nicci and what she’s made of. She evolved so much in this book from the first one and it was amazing to read about and to see her be happy again and get her HEA. Again all the side characters that get brought in are amazing and really contribute to making this an enjoyable read. I have so many mixed emotions, I’m sad to see the end of the series but glad that everyone gets their HEA and that Nicci got her HEA. This is a great read.
