'Wind Dancer's Flute was written by Francis Eugene Wood 25 years ago. It is an enduring little tale of simple people mixed with some magical creations. The story touches on the history of the Cherokee Indians and has romance and lots of imagery. Wind Dancer, Joy, Emily and Rag experience both the cruelty of their world and the joy of a giving heart. Wood draws beautiful pictures with his words and the line drawings Judith Ligon did for this book adds to the book's visual appeal. I recommend this book to anyone who likes a story that leaves you smiling and feeling good. I give the book 5 stars.
