A nice collection of short stories and extracts. I enjoyed reading this to my son. But I did find some of the extracts a little odd. Like, the end of The Railway Children. Why the end? Surely it would be better to give kids the start or something in the middle to grab their attention and get them excited to read the rest of the book.
