Fabian Black writes D/s fiction, but with her own unique stamp. There are no dungeons and chains here or any of the usual leather and whip scenarios associated with power exchange fiction. She shows another aspect of the Dom/sub dynamic, weaving beautiful warm hearted, sensitive stories full of emotion, wit and romance all spiced with a little spanking. Stories that will engage, entertain and sometimes surprise you. Have tissues on stand by.
For the record she is a female author located in the UK. She is a keen advocate of GLBT rights and gay marriage.
Cheeky! Me likes. :D This could be a great prologue to a longer story. :) **** ‘What kind of anally retentive twat are you?’ I asked cordially. You calmly replied that you were the kind that anally retained rules.” -Fabian Black "Dance With a Vampire" [image error]
This is a series of little shorts, predominantly about high school students but also with one story about a single father who is recently divorced and having a relationship with his daughter's tutor. The title story is about a popular boy who offers the girls a chocolate. Some of the have guarana which supposedly makes you hot. A young guy is talked into joining and if he gets it he can sleep with one of the girls. Well, he gets the chocolate but doesn't want one of the girls and the other boy offers to "help him out" with his problem. The others were similar friends to lovers, or popular boy and nerd, type stories. One drawing made the uke look REALLY young, in fact it kind of squicked me out although supposedly they are the same age, but .... I don't really care for the books that are a series of shorts, I prefer one longer story. It was okay though and is pretty typical artwork.
This is a very short M/M short story. Writing is nice and humorous enough, at least at first.
Unfortunately the story has no actual vampire in it and, halfway through, turns into Dom/Sub erotica which is a genre I only cherish when it is handled by supremely skilled writers. This author is not THAT good, not even close, and I ended by being dissatisfied with his story.
I took a further star off the rating because the blurb is misleading: if I had known this was a SM story I would have skipped it and the author would have a negative review less.
***allromanceebooks.com freebie*** this one may be short. but it's good. a nearly 21 year old male tries to get into a club where the door guard knocks him back. this isn't the best book that i've read, but it was just a little confusing. i mean where were the vampires? and was that supposed to be a sex scene? thoughts like this float through my head whilst reading this book. other than that it was ok
Woaaaaahhhhhh!!! I loved this very short story! Only 10 pages, BUT the original narration and CUTE love story conquer my heart! I liked it, and certainly recommend it. No explicity sex scene, just a very adorable narrator
Wow, I loved this little gem far more than I expected to! I mean really, what can you expect in 6 pages of a PDF? Well, prepare to be amazed. This was funny and as romantic as any longer story that I’ve read. It was vague (no names mentioned, no explicit sex) and yet it was very intimate. Thank goodness for the coin flip that caused me to read the shortest book on my TBR shelf!!
Fun, well written short story written almost as a note or journal entry. As a short story, I enjoyed the writing style. This isnt lomg enough to become too invested on the characters, but definitely enough to have me interested in a longer story about these two to fill in the details of their relationship.
For only a handful of pages this was interesting enough; it was certainly different from anything else I've read lately. I'm not really sure how to describe it. There wasn't really the paranormal aspect I was expecting as it was more mentioned in passing but it wasn't really necessary. *shrugs* It was good for what it was but there really isn't anything else I can actually say about it.
Very well written for how short it was. I was a little disappointed in the ending. It felt as if I read the beginning of a book and then skipped straight to the epilogue. This story could've been much better even being as short as it was. All in all it was okay for a free short read.
An anniversary memory of how a couple met and the little bit of trickery involved in their coming together. Well-written if a bit self-indulgent on the narrator's side. ;-) Would consider this author again.
Very good, very short Halloween-themed m/m romance about a guy, trying to get in to a club for a Halloween party and becoming upset with the man at the door who won't let him in.
Reads a bit like a frilly love letter that sometimes slips into brashness. It was cute and fluffy, with slight mentions of a BDSM lifestyle. Also has a blink-and-you'll-miss-it vampire reveal.
