This book made me re-think how I read the "canon" in English of Hawaiian traditional knowledge. It is simply incorrect to assume that these "translations" are accurate or deal with Hawaiian text in their entirety. It is also incorrect just to rely on a particular set of books for all knowledge of an entire culture.
