LIGHT OF HER HEART

Morgan St. James was by far the most virile man Miranda Tallant had ever seen. From his thick locks of midnight silk to his well muscled chest rippling with unchecked power, Miranda realized at once that this man was no ordinary lighthouse keeper. But while she did not know if he had come to investigate her family's smuggling or if he truly had been disinherited, one glance at his emerald dark eyes promisd her untold nights of desire.

KEEPER OF HIS LOVE

Bent on discovering the blackguards responsible for his friend's death, Morgan didn't expect to be caught up in the stormy sea of Miranda Tallant's turquoise eyes. The lovely widow consumed his every waking thought and his every dream with an all encompassing passion. For while he could not abandon his duty to his friend and his family, he knew that he could not rest until Miranda's heart was his.

Honestly okay book. Strong characters and plot in the beginning, but it was rushed at the midway point. I thoroughly enjoyed the characters and their traits, the writer did a good job forming their personalities and I thought the 2 main characters worked well together. I’m not entirely sure if they had good sexual chemistry but they were okay. The writing style was gorgeous, the author spent a lot of time describing situations and settings, without being wordy. After the characters get on the same or similar page romantically, the story speeds up and the transitions gave me whiplash. The chapters become more and more rushed as you went on, leading to the epitome of rushed chapters: final chapter.
Overall, the original plot was interested and the characters were fun. I think that, with extra pages, the author could have had a chance to expand and wrap up the story better. 3/5
