This is a reboot story, as Rogue and pals get a new mission to end the war on Nu-Earth, guided by aliens seemingly sick of the violence. They have a number of military personnel slated for death and Rogue is to be their instrument. Most of this edition contains his attempts to pull off this first "hit," and it crackles along very enjoyably. Sadly, his victim has been named Yuan Too - which cues up lots of crass jokes and the story is littered with references to "gooks," making it unpalatably of its time.
Even the change of scripts did not help Rogue. It still is a one of the worst 2000AD characters. But there was some nice art by Steve Dillon, so that is positive.
