I read the book Diary of a Wimpy Kid Rodrick Rules. I chose this book because it was the only Wimpy Kids I haven't read. This book is how an older brother picks on and makes his younger brothers life miserable, like most older brothers are to there younger siblings. The main characters are Greg, Rodrick, Manny, and Greg's best friend Rowley. Now Rodrick is like most older siblings he is there to pick on you but also there to help you when you need it the most. The best thing Rodrick did to Greg at the beginning of the book was when Greg woke up from an after school nape Rodrick told him he was going to be late for school and Greg forgot it was the first day school got let out for summer. The age for this book is for 10 to 16 because its about the ages in the book. The gender is for mostly guys because its from a guys point of view. I recommend this book to the middle school because it will help you threw middle school.

Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules
The book starts with them at a roller skating rink. Greg sees a girl and is going to ask her to dance/skate with him. When he goes up to her his brother ruins it by having the older kid skaters come in and run him over. When they go home, the next morning his mom comes up with a thing called mom bucks, for every hour they spend together they get 5 dollars, which can be traded in for real dollars. When mom, dad, and their baby brother leave for town they have a huge party.
Everyone is there and lots of things happen. When their family get home, Rodrick and Greg have a lot to hide. When school starts the girl Greg like goes to his school. Later on in the story there is a talent show, Rodricks band wins because of his moms dancing. Over a break Rodrick and Greg go visit their grandpa in a nursing home and Gregs crush is there, they talk and get closer. In the end of the book their parents find out about the party and they are in huge trouble.
Main Characters:
Greg- brown hair, scrawny
Rodrick- Black hair, wears more eyeliner than me.
Holly- Blonde hair, beautiful.
Setting: Hefley (Greg)’s house
Conflict: Greg likes Holly wants her to like him.
Resolution: At the nursing home they talk and get closer.
My opinion is that overall it is a good book. When you watch the movie it’s similar to the book but has many differences. On a scale of 1-10 about 8. It’s a very funny book.
Recommendation: I recommend this to kids 7 and up because some younger kids might not understand some parts.

I thought that the book was amazing as it had so much stuff going on at the same time. It’s about a boy called Greg,He has just finished school ready for the summer holidays and his parents are going away for the summer. There parent had strict rules including them not having a party. They left him and his bigger brother Rodrick at home with him Rodrick ends up bullying him. They fight and argue for stuff. After a week or so but then Rodrick breaks the rules and has a party at the house leaves greg to call his parents. As the party goes along The parents called the home phone saying that they are coming back because the dad has broken a leg or injured himself. The next morning They tidied the room as fast as they can and the parents came back and realised the had a party and got angry. The both boys Rodrick and Greg became good brothers

What?!? Why does this exist! It is just a big copyright scam! You can't just take that great book, then slap your name on it, and say it's yours! Zero stars if I could.
Just Che led and this "author" has done this with other books too, Fredrick p miller, (and others), I am disappointed in you. #dumpthisbook

The only reason why i gave his book 3 stars and not 4 or 5 is because its not meant for teens like me, its written in a way that it appeals more to a younger audience. It was quite funny though, I would recommend it to those who are interested in reading comedy and are looking for a quick read. Approximate reading time for me was 5 hrs.

Greg into more trouble this time, and worse, his brother bully Roderick knows Greg one of the secrets that will definitely be getting into trouble and threatens to tell the world. Here comes brother blackmail (large and the subject of discussion between father and son). Cartoons that are in line with Greg journal entries are hilarious. Bestselling author Jeff Kinney's book does a great job of filming the dangerous environment of the middle school and relatable show children who are full of weaknesses - while he was very kind can be sarcastic, winding, and sometimes quite mean to his friends . Greg cases is both familiar and embarrassing time. While Greg likes to think he is a victim of misunderstanding, for example, when he promised to be honest and take too long, and most of the time you get what you deserve.

I love this book to bits! The drawings made the book even funnier. I haven't seen the movie (yes!), and now I'm curious and so want to watch it. ♥ Two thumbs up! Looking forward to read the rest of the series.
