This is another good reason to pick up a book from an unfamiliar author and then find that you have just enjoyed the heck out of it! The story starts with FBI agent Vincent Piper currently stationed in London on his way to meet his daughter near a bookstore. He is a little late, just a couple minutes away when he hears a familiar sound. One from countless training scenarios, the sound of a bomb exploding. Rushing to the scene he finds his daughter badly injured and with the help of a bystander rushes her to hospital where there is nothing they can do for her. Piper vows revenge and puts his many skills to work trying to track down the parties responsible. This story moves very quickly and is one that will not be easy to put down for long. Piper follows lead after lead in a fairly straight forward manner right up until everything goes sideways!

Great story. Don't like the writing style. Seems to switch between tenses and times unexpectedly

Now this is what a thriller should be. Tight writing, fast pace, a twisty tricky plot and a writer who knows how to keep a reader guessing.

The FBI in London, bombs, strange murders and lots of red herrings.
Nothing is what it seems and any reader of thrillers who needs an exciting read will enjoy this novel. I recommend it for those tiresome long flights or when you have long waits like the hospital or doctors.

And writers who wish to learn how to write a thriller should put this novel on their study list.

Definitely a fast paced book! Almost too fast paced, because I felt like it was hard to really get to know any of the characters or the story itself. While the story premise was interesting enough and I *did* like it, I felt as though it didn't live up to the possible potential. This should have been a heart stopping thriller, but as it is, it lacked depth.
