Ummmmm...

Um, yeah... this book was almost difficult to read. It was rushed and slow at the same time... There was so much potential in the storyline but it just didn't quite live up to it. There wasn't enough detail when it should have been and too much when it wasn't really called for. The characters and the conversations between them were weak. It took entirely too long for the REAL drama to occur and when it finally did (at almost 90% through the book) it was mediocre at best. This book just could have been sooooo much better.

I really enjoyed this book I felt sorry for Quandra losing her bby & bout the way Ace died even though he was a dog & treated Quandra bad she was a gd women to him I can't believe the things Stunna did I'm glad everybody is getting on with their lives can't wait to read what part 2 is bout

We throughly enjoyed Jennifer Luckett's 'Caught In The Middle,' 4 STARS.

The storyline was crazy-good and sucked us right in, and we found it extremely hard to put down.

Young business owner Quandra, goes against her number one dating rule and falls in love with a hustler when her estranged relationship with her mother becomes to much for her to cope with. Her mother Alicia, is fresh out of prison, fighting a drug addiction and entertaining old aquantances with bad habits that could see her back behind bars. Quandra is determined to remain the same strong independent woman she has had to become in order to survive the hurdles life has thrown at her, but like the title says she gets 'caught in the middle,' and between her mothers disappearing acts and her new mans lifestyle she risks loosing everything including her life.

A really well written and well told story. We look forward to reading more books by Jennifer Luckett.

THIS BOOK WAS GOOD! QUANDRA MOM ALICIA WAS TOO MUCH & IM GLAD QUANDRA OR JOHN DID NOT GIVE UP ON HER DUE TO HER DRUG ADDICTION. SHE STARTED TO GET HER LIFE ON TRACK AFTER HER 2ND TIME GOING BACK TO PRISON FOR GETTING CAUGHT IN A BOARDED UP HOUSE WAITING FOR TONY TO RETURN WITH MORE DRUGS....SHE NEEDED TO LEARN THE HARD WAY THAT THOSE DRUGS WAS NOT GOOD FOR HER....IM GLAD SHE LEFT TONY ALONE FOR GOOD & MEET JOHN. QUANDRA MEETS & FALLS HEAD OVER HEELS WITH ACE AFTER KNOWING HIM FOR A SHORT WHILE SHE FOUND OUT ABOUT HIS INFIDELITY & HOW ABUSIVE HE REALLY IS. AFTER ACE MEET QUANDRA HE JUST KNEW HE COULDNT LET HER GO SHE WAS WIFEY MATERIAL. HE JUST WASNT READY TO MAKE THAT JUMP & BE A ONE WOMAN MAN BUT AS LONG AS HE HAD QUANDRA ON HIS SIDE HE WAS GOOD. Caught in the middle was a good book to read. It's caught me attention to reading from Jennifer Luckett. I felt touchy and emotion from the beginning to the end of this book. This book is dealing with drugs, abusive relationship and many more. This is my first time to reading from Jennifer. She takes her time to writing this book and she did a good job. I enjoyed reading this book and get know each of characters in this book. I will continue to reading another book from this author.

I dislike when Ace is putting his hand on Quandra. Alicia invites the crackhead Tony to Quandra's apartment. Also, I didn't like when John is accusing of Alicia.

So far, this author and this book deserve a five stars from me.

The story will capture your interest until the end. The story line flowed very well.



All in all, I would recommend this book you should add to your list of books to read this year.

The author did an excellent job and I’m sure you will enjoy this book as much as I did.

Caught in the middle was a straight banger I enjoyed it from beginning to the end.I felt in touch with all the characters.I was even sad at some points,but through it all the books showed that no matter life throws at you,you can overcome it.Can't wait to read more from this author.
