Healers on Healing

Rate this book
In thirty-seven original essays written for this book, some of the world's leaders in healing explore their personal and professional experiences in order to uncover the underlying principles on which all healing rests. Rather than focusing on diverse techniques, the writers seek the "golden thread" that ties together the wide range of approaches to healing.

In simple, direct language, the contributors explore the complex nature of healing from many viewpoints. We hear from physicians, psychologists, nurses, metaphysical healers, and shamans.

Their topics

The result is a grand synthesis of heartfelt thinking that offers a treasury of profound insights for people in the healing professions, people who seek to develop their own healing capacities, people who wish to benefit from healers, and anyone interested in the magical properties of human relationships.

"I don't believe that one person heals another. I believe that what we do is invite the other person into a healing relationship." Rachel Naomi Remen

" Healing goes frar beyond the confinds of teh physical body... Disease and suffering arise from a mind that is unwhole, that is filled with confusion and despair. To be "Healed" means to restore oneself to a place in which the mind is at peace."

Healers in Healing was a required book for one of my university courses on spirituality, and it has left a lasting impact on me, both professionally and personally. The book is a compilation of writings from various authors, each offering their unique perspectives on spirituality.

What I found particularly valuable is how the diverse viewpoints come together to explore deep ideas behind different religions and spiritual practices, and how these teachings can be applied to the process of healing and being healed. This book has enriched my understanding of spirituality and has supported my personal growth while also enhancing my professional journey.

It’s one of those books that will stay on my bookshelf for years to come, both for its intellectual value and its personal significance. I highly recommend it to anyone interested in exploring various spiritual perspectives and their connection to healing. 5 stars without hesitation.

The golden thread that links all modalities of healing is love. Healing can take place under the most unlikely circumstances. These short essays by renowned healers gave me hope and inspiration that healing will take place.

A good collection of essays on healing, this book is divided into categories according to healing philosophy. I found it interesting to see which sections I identified with and which sections were sort of off-putting.

There has been one essay that really rocked my world, but there were quite a few that I enjoyed or that gave me a new perspective.
