Plot of story was good but execution could have been better. Probably would have DNF'd it if it wasn't so short. The way she described feelings and emotions were weird to me, they really didn't fit and was just extra. It's 232 pages but could have easily been 150-200 if she didn't try to stretch out the story with unnecessary plots and dialogue.

This was a quick read. Stephanie Perry Moore penned a work that outlines trials and tribulations that can creep into a marriage. I could relate to so much in this book. We often hear that looks can fade…bodies change…but love endures. Marriage is give and take and at times there are hiccups and they can be challenging.
Shari and Dillon easily point the finger to the other but do very little to look at themselves when problems arise. Throughput the reading you can see that until you deal with the root….you can’t get to the fruit. The inability of the two to truly work together causes one to seek temporary satisfaction elsewhere. Needless to say every decision, as we know, comes with consequences.
Does infidelity necessarily mean a relationship is over. Is it possible to trust after an instance of infidelity? This read challenges the reader to look at a number of issues besides infidelity: unleashed anger, healthy ways to resolve disputes, grief and loss. marital counseling as well as faith. Shari and Dillon come to realize that marriage is two imperfect people who must trust God to help/hold them accountable.

1 John 1: 8-9 "If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness."
In 'Wearing My Halo Tilted' I had a very hard time with the MC, Shari and the above scripture came to mind. She thought all her marital problems were her husband's fault. She selfishly laid all the blame on him and called upon God time and again to fix her husband but she wrestled with admitting her sins. But once she did she begin to see as the author, Stephanie P. Moore wanted readers to take in, that when we sin we are responsible for our actions and it removes us from God, but when we repent and let Him be the author of our lives we will hear His voice and all that we ask in His name will be given to us if it be His will. The MC wanted her marriage to work but she stopped leting God pilot her life and she was wearing her halo tilted learning a valuable lesson that led her back to God whereby he granted her what she always had--had she only trusted him. Overall it was a good read, aside from the fact that the abusive behvior of the husband angle wasn't explored well, with not only that powerful message, but also the message that, 'if God brought you to it, he'll bring you through it' so long as we walk in His light.

"Wearing My Halo Tilted," was a pretty good read. The book showed just how easy it is to fall into satans trap when things are not going the way we want them to. Shari, the main character, was unhappy with her husband Dillon. Instead of addressing their problems head on she allowed herself to fall for another man. Someone once told me that satan knows our heart just like God. But unlike God, satan always provides us with what we ask for, that's how he takes us off our Spiritual walk.
The only part of the story I really had issue with was the writer didn't truly address the abusiveness of her husband. I believe prayer changes things but I don't believe an abusive person just decides one day they aren't going to get angry anymore and that's the end of it.
All in all it is a book I would recommend and I gave it 4 stars.

This was one of those audiobooks that I can still remember what happened well after listening to it, as well as not wanting to get out of the car because it's so good. Wife, Mother and Author of Christian Fiction ends up going on a tour of a play based on her best seller because she is unfulfilled at home and her husband takes her for granted. Then the unthinkable happens. I was totally shocked at the ending because it doesn't end like you would think it would. Excellent job

Shari McCray is bored at home with her two young daughters and feels that her husband is not paying her enough attention. Shari wrote a book that was turned into a play. Shari decides to go on tour with the play. Shari makes a wrong decision in her marriage; infidelity. We are all human and mistakes will be made, but one must learn to trust and depend on our Savior. Trust and Depend!!

I sooooo loved this book!
Stephanie Perry Moore is one of my favorite authors. This book definitely did not disappoint. Charming and beautifully written. I was fully engaged with these characters, and the plot. It touched my heart and ministered to me. It was real and gritty at times, but classy and filed with hope in the midst of the most seemingly hopeless situations.

This book is a great book to read. I love the way the writer created a story that encouraged those who may have failed in their walk with God, that God can still do the impossible.
