Felipe Nunes is a comic book artist and illustrator Started working with illustration at 2010`s, colaborating to some brazilian magazines like Recreio and Mundo Estranho. As a cartoonist, published his first graphic novel back in 2014, Klaus, who was claimed and nominated for three-HQMIX, winning Best New Cartoonist. After this, did his second one, DODÔ, who will be republished by Panini on Spring of 2017. This year, illustrated the first issue of `O Segredo da Floresta`, a teenager comicbook written by Thedy Correa and published by Stout Club / Panini. Had some short stories for anthologies and three oneshots just in 2018 (ASFIXIOFILIA, FLÆSH and ARREBATAMENTO) In 2019, released CLEAN BREAK, a sci-fi graphic novel, Jabuti Prize finalist and published in Poland. Currently, he does corporative comics and draws an upcoming comic book series.
Nie od początku mnie wciągnęło. Od razu rzuca się w oczy poszarpana fabuła, lekki chaos w dialogach, sklejanie historii jakby ze strzępów. Brak flow w na początku opowieści nadaje całości bardziej zinowy charakter i powiem szczerze, że po dwóch pierwszych rozdziałach podchodziłem sceptycznie. Jednak wytrwałość popłaca. Gdy wpadłem w ten charakterystyczny rytm, wciągnęło mnie maksymalne. Kapitalnie się ta historia rozwija i nawet jeśli autor sięga po kilka znanych z noir czy postapo motywów to robi to na tyle umiejętnie, że ani przez chwilę nie masz poczucia straconej szansy na dobry, klimatyczny komiks. Conheci o Felipe Nunes na Feira Ogra que aconteceu esse mês aqui em SP. Não sabia nada sobre o trabalho dele, mas bati o olho nessa capa e quis saber mais. Ele me deu uma explicação rápida sobre o que se tratava e eu levei pra casa.
Uma história sobre uma cidade utópica, aparentemente perfeita, pessoas viciadas em áçucar, e cultos e governo controlando tudo. No meio disso temos uma investigação policial feita pelos nossos 3 personagens principais.
Gostei muito do quadrinho. Além do traço maravilhoso, a história mistura noir, com cyberpunk e nonsense para criar uma narrativa única com personagens bem interessantes.
