Read this again for the second time for a bit of nostalgia of home. Lucien suggested this book to me as a teenager and I still love the urban communal setting this book takes place in. Picking it up again in Fiji exaggerated/emphasized the need to create that setting when I come home

I haven't read this book yet, but every time I go to the African American hang out for readers in Indy, they are always recommending this, so if anyone has read it please share with me your review.
