100% smut
Somehow this book managed to be hot, cringey, sweet and gross, all at the same time. Not much plot to be had, these two meet, fuck, sext, fuck, say I love you and then fuck some more. Not one conversation took place between them, on page. The love seemed to come out of nowhere and I would have preferred if the author had waited for the epilogue for declaration because it didn’t really jive for me that they were in love so fast.
I did enjoy the scene where both he and her father stood up for her with her stepmother (his daughter) but other than that this was mainly smut. A bit of daddy kink here too, so fyi for those who either like or avoid this. It wasn’t too bad and mostly just dirty talk.
Not too keen on the euphemism ‘stalk’ for his dick and ‘hole’ for her, well, hole. They were used too frequently and needed changed up. Other smut moments were kinda gross too, lots of weird face licking and spitting which isn’t my thing. But it had hot moments as well. Overall this was quick and dirty with a heavy dose of cringe.

Why did I pick up this story?
Well, aside it's not my "thing" age gap, but if the plot is good, I can enjoy (it wasn't the case), I liked the cover (yes, I'm that superficial).
And I thought it would be funny.

Since Carter was late (missing his own daughter wedding) and only appeared for the party, they don't know who they are.
And, of course, he compensates his absence taking Mina to his hotel room 🙄
This story is even more superficial than my choice for reading it due to the cover...

I screamed when I saw jenika post this and my body was ready!
Mina is alittle meh that her father is marrying a girl one year younger then her, the problem wasn't the age it was the bride was a mean girl and alittle bully towards her in high school, but she sucked it up because her father is in love even if she hates every second of the lovely dovey stuff. At the wedding she meets Carter a older man who she has some major chemistry with they don't waste any time when they roll around and get eachother off 😈😈😈

Quick, fun, and spicy, all things that I love about Jenika Snow novellas!!!! I loved this one more than I thought I would. Nina’s father has just married a girl a year younger than her. While that does things to her, she’s happy that he’s happy.
Mostly. Because unfortunately, Amber is a bitch. So when she meets silver Fox Carter at her father’s wedding, she doesn’t feel too badly about having an amazing night with him. It definitely got her mind off her new stepmom! Until Nina finds out that Carter is Amber’s Daddy too…
Loved it all! Loved the shaming of fat-shaming, loved Amber’s growth, loved Nina’s self-esteem and self-love, LOVED Daddy Carter to the absolute MAX…I had a great time with this one!

Imagine going to your father's wedding and marrying a woman a year younger than you. Who is, to put it nicely, a witch? Then you meet a smoking hot older man who rocks your world. Then to find out that said man is your new stepmother’s father
The novella is a short, spicy erotic read. If you’re looking for heavy romance, this book is not for you. As much as I enjoyed the book, something was missing, and I couldn’t point out what.
Overall I did enjoy the book and do recommend

Okay so I saw this on twitter and the blurb seemed funny (especially the last line) so I decided to read this hoping that it would make me laugh. Unfortunately, it just made me cringe.
I've read another book by this author before that I didn't like, and even though that one was supposed to be more up my alley, being paranormal and all, it's clear to me that Jenika Snow will probably never be for me, no matter if it's paranormal or contemporary romance. We just don't vibe together.
So what I liked here was the plot, but there was so little of it that I can't bring myself to rate this higher than two stars. I've read so many better novellas that managed to combine a plot with steam and made me care for the characters to boot.
Also, this has the daddy kink which I was naively hoping it wouldn't. So if you're also not a fan of that then this won't be the book for you either.

If you're looking for something that's light on plot but heavy on smut, then this is your shit.
Absolutely no judgement here, since more often than not, I am that person. But, to be fair, don't we all occasionally need to reach for the 100% word porn to cleanse our palettes?
I went into this one with my eyes wide open about what it was going to be and only had one complaint, which was that the declaration of love at the end of the book came completely out of left field for me. Normally, I don't really have an issue with the insta-love situation, I can be a fan of it actually, but for some reason this one just didn't feel as authentic or appropriate for me which took away from the overall rating.
Other than that, this is very much a 'you get what it says on the tin' sort of book and pretty much lives up to whatever expectations you have of it.

Okay so Mina’s already side-eyeing her dad’s wedding because guess what? He’s marrying a girl younger than her. And not just any girl but her high school bully….the mean girl who made her life hell. So yeah, she's not thrilled. But she loves her dad, so she sucks it up and tries to survive the cringe-fest.
Then Carter enters the chat,- older, sexy, total DILF energy—and the chemistry was Immediate. They don’t waste time either; things get filthy fast, and I was living for it. Daddy kink? Dirty talk? Impact play and light degradation? Hell yess!!
And just when things are heating up nicely, came the plot twist!! I don’t wanna say too much about it but I was really surprised that this little smutty novella actually had a nice little story haha.
There’s a little resolution at the end with some making up, but the real star here is the spice. No cheating, no weird love triangle nonsense, just straight-up delicious smut with a bit of forbidden fun.
Filthy, fast, and super fun. I highly recommend it to anyone who loves some age gap, a little taboo, and a LOT of heat!!

This was almost 5 stars from me. The admission of love came out of left field and made it me rate it four stars. They had only seen each other once since they met and spent time apart after that. So what could they possibly love about each other?
Now what I liked was that Carter didn't give a damn about what his daughter would think about him being with Mia. I love that! So many times we have the parent that feels guilty and I'm glad we didn't get that here.
This was a very steamy story and we even had some daddy kink. I enjoyed most of my time reading it and if this sounds like it's your thing, then pick this up.

It's official. I hate the 'daddy' thing, I can overlook it when it's not said a lot but this guy right here said it a million times in the span of 140 pages.
Zero plot( null, nothing ), and the 🌶️🌶️ time is not even good. Waste of time honestly. I give it 2 stars cuz there are worse books. Thank God it wasn't longer.
Zero plot( null, nothing ), and the 🌶️🌶️ time is not even good. Waste of time honestly. I give it 2 stars cuz there are worse books. Thank God it wasn't longer.

Loved the idea it had so much potential to be a full length novel. The smut felt very repetitive but it was such a quick fun read, i know i will wake up remembering nothing about this!

This was one of those books that popped up on my Instagram and I felt like I absolutely needed to read it this second. I loved the whole concept of an older alpha male and dropped what I was reading for this. Was it worth it... maybe?
The book in my opinion could have done with being longer to go into the whole "take my Daddy i'l take yours" but for a relatively easy read that didn't take up too much time or have much of a plot twist it was good enough.
The book was very well written and fast paced which I actually quite liked and the characters were interesting
